Such a beautiful day ending so tragically. Some of my very first friends on the island were in a tragic accident. Marylou told me so many stories of herself growing up on the islands and taking a boat to go to school…. And so many hurricane stories! Just saw her and Butch last night. She absolutely loved Norman and had the kindest heart. Terrible accident in Matlacha this evening and took my friend just after her 80th birthday party- And her beloved Butch Gay was life flighted- please pray for them and their families, and island family as well 🙏❤️😢

Pine island friends….(and Aleena Hess)…. Obviously I am obsessed with our local dolphin, Uno. I always just had a feeling he was a “he” but rumors are that somehow he was DNA tested, and he is a “she”! Doesn’t really matter to me but just curious so I did a little research of my own. In over 10 years, Uno is mostly “alone”, not swimming with any groups of females. Never has anyone seen him with a calf. In 3 years, I have only seen another adult close by once. Thoughts?
(I know, I’m a weirdo 🤣). The last 3 photos are of Uno. I’m still thinking he is a “he”.

What “NOT TO DO” if you have a long haired furry friend. So many people aren’t educated on simple care of these poor souls. If you do not want to have your dog groomed, nails trimmed, or take proper hygiene care, get a goldfish. Worst, saddest day since I have been doing this. My heart is broken, but at least I feel like I helped her feel a little bit better. When dogs are matted, it can imobilize them, cause skin issues, bleeding, infection, depression, pain, etc. I literally am sick to my stomach and feel absolutely disgusted and pi**ed off, but at least they had it done so I am glad for that. And she wasn’t thin under all that hair….

I own and operate Barkley Pet Services and Mobile Grooming. I am on Pacosin Ct. Please check out my page for reviews, comments, discounts, etc. We are going to offer a basic obedience class with only 6-8 openings for the first group. Open for all ages of dogs- puppies must be at least 4 months old to participate. Students must be UTD on vaccines. Class is offered one day a week for 6 weeks, beginning on December 12. Cost of the group of classes is $150.00. We will work on basic beginner commands, bonding with your pet, respect and control, and starting polite k9 citizen walking on a leash. This class would be great for any pet or handler/owner who has never taken a class before.
