From left to right we have Heat Miser, an agouti self who is one of our bred bys out of Carnelian x Alchemy. Next is Georgia, who I got on my birthday this year in Atlanta, Georgia. She’s a gorgeous black hooded down under. Then we have Sardonyx, who was produced by MKT Reptiles & Rattery. She is a russian blue agouti self

The goal here is simple... save my OG line 😅
Any females related to Carnelian are too old to breed, and Heat Miser is the only breeder age buck I have left (Rune is still here but he’s pushing 3 years). Rai, who took in my lines when I moved, doesn’t have anything directly related to the line either. So I’m pulling at strings here to hopefully continue the line that is near and dear to me

My amazing friend is doing an auction, and all proceeds go towards hurricane victims

A memorial post for all the rats I’ve lost in the last 2 months. Almost all of them were over 2 years old, so they had an incredible life here. But the longer they live, the more it hurts. I’m grateful I was able to keep some rats as pets and bring them with me to SC. But the ones I kept are all nearing 2, or over 2. It’s like watching the Mystical Mischief lines end in front of me, with no new babies in sight

And maybe take some home too 🤫😂

If you’re in the Virginia area and don’t have rats from her, you’re definitely missing out! I’d happily assist in transport/getting any of her rats placed in SC as well!

Hey everyone, it's Rai! First and foremost, I would like to apologize for the lack of posting from me. I needed a bit of time to adjust to nearly doubling the amount of rats and cages and work that came with taking on such a big project! Now that new routines have been established and streamlined, I'm finally ready to get back into the game.

I got into rats in March of 2021 with the purchase of 5 male feeder rats, who I quickly fell in love with. 5 became 8, and then 8 became 14 when I acquired my first quality males and females and began to breed for rats of quality temperament. My goals have been to produce squishy, healthy rats in a variety of wonderful and so ugly they're cute coat types and colors. In late 2022 I had the pleasure of meeting the founding breeder of MMR, Chris, and quickly formed a friendship as well as a sort of sisterhood in the world of rat breeding.

It is an incredible honor to be able to continue the lines she has worked hard to create as well as continue my own and start new projects.

My personal lines are black eyed marten in a variety of colors, black eyed siamese in a variety of colors, odd eye Havana, and Russian blue silvermane.

I am working on establishing a hairless line thanks to some absolutely fabulous bucks from MKT Reptiles & Rattery in VA. I am also working with producing golden siamese, golden marten, fawn, and harley Werewolf.

On top of these I will also be continuing Chris's tonk line, the normal werewolf line, and the dalmatian and down under lines. I do expect to produce dwarf out of her lines as well.

Sprite only did the job for a couple seconds before Aspen changed her mind. So hopefully it took! Sprite is an impressive sized boy, I’ll attach a video of them in the comments! He’s got a wide leg span and a big beautiful head

They’re all recently matured (a month or less) and have never been exposed to a male

My beautiful girl Briar is getting old 💔

She’s wild caught, so who truly knows her age. But she’s lost a lot of the hair on her legs, she gave me one clutch that was not very healthy, and she’s slowing down. She’s NEVER let me handle her, she’s always freaked out. But tonight she climbed out onto my hand and just curled up. She enjoyed a bit of a fly larvae and some water, and then fell asleep on my finger. So grateful to have this moment with her

More jumping spiders paired! Our first otiosus!

We’ve been trying to pair Chai for MONTHS now, and she’s denied so many males. Today, she FINALLY accept a new male! Super excited for her to (hopefully soon) lay a sac!

Goliath bird eater (theraphosa stirmi) female + enclosure. She’s not quite full grown. Eating adult discoid roaches. Very sassy, will kick hairs and hiss, is also incredibly fast.
Enclosure is incredibly sturdy and has reliable lock. Comes with accessories as well.

These 2 gorgeous souls were paired tonight, and I can’t WAIT to see how many babies they give us, and what they’ll look like!
Now that I (Chris) am officially living in South Carolina, I’m going to be focusing on my jumping spider breeding! Please feel free to share our page with your spider loving friends, as my spider posts usually lack the attention they deserve 🙁
