Lucy's furever home fell through. This sweet girl really needs a place to call home. To be considered as an adoptive home for Lucy, you must meet the following criteria:
* No other female dogs or small dogs of either gender in the home. Her prey instinct is very strong.
* Fenced in yard for exercise.
* Cannot leave her outside all the time.
* Treat her as part of your family.
* Provide routine vet visits, maintain her routine vaccinations & keep her on heartworm prevention and flea/tick prevention.
* Maintain regular grooming - she is Goldendoodle, with a thick, curly coat. Grooming should be every 6-8 weeks.
* Understand that she was not socialized with other dogs correctly the first two years of her life - she cannot go to dog parks, other homes with dogs, etc., without extensive training first.
* Provide correct food, doodles are notoriously allergic to chicken based foods.
Yes, Lucy is a special dog. She loves her people with all her heart, but she does not tolerate other female dogs or small dogs of any kind at all. If you have other female dogs, small breed dogs or you want to take her everywhere with you, and other dogs are involved, she is not the girl for you. If you can provide a home for her where she is the only female dog, and she will not be put into situations where she is around other female dogs or small breed dogs before extensive training, then please reach out to us via messenger or contact Doodle Bug Doodles. Ironically enough, she has no problem with our cat being around her, so I don't think cats will be an issue. She is 100% housetrained and does well around people of all ages and sizes, but when excited, she does still jump up. She's working on that, and getting better every day.
