This video is the reality of how traumatic fireworks can be to animals (and people). Last night was rough on poor Fiona! I kept her halter and lead line on the prevent her from going through a fence and talked or sang or hummed to her the entire time, while my husband offered treats and "sweet tea" (water plus sweet feed) because she was literally dripping sweat from being so scared. After 1-2 hours of “circling” at a walk/trot, the booms finally stopped and we were able to settle sweet Fiona for the night.
We decided to sit on the porch to better appreciate the first rain we have had in at least a month, and got to watch a hummingbird grab a quick snack.

While I scooped his grain, someone decided he needed an appetizer. Ps the wagon was placed about a foot away from where he had pulled it to in the video. 😂

Peter Crumpet
Peter Crumpet has grown! When we brought him home he was not allowed outside because he could fit through the fencing of his enclosure, which left him vulnerable to predators. Now, after only a couple weeks, Peter can enjoy being a bunny and doing all his favorite bunny things. He LOVES hopping around his safe space!! Enjoy his cute little hops and the zoomies :)

Moose
Moose has stayed down only 3 times in the last year when I’ve caught him napping; the first was the day after coming home and likely caused by exhaustion, but the second and third times have both been within the last week, and were because he felt safe. That’s a good feeling for Moose and us alike. Thank you for helping us get Moose to this point of relaxation and trust!!
