This is Abby Mae. She is a sweet black lab mix, around 9 weeks old. She is very playful and gets along great with other dogs. She needs a furever home to get lots of love!

We have gotten a lot of questions about our shelter being a no-kill shelter. We do not kill any of our animals for any reason other for medical purposes. Loki was a bit different for us. Loki was owner surrender to us on 05/18/2023 for resource guarding issue, which is where he would be aggressive to those taking his resources (toys & food). After we worked with him for serval weeks helping his issue, and we believed we had solved it. He worked well with children, other dogs, cats. Loki loved about everything. He was adopted to his first home and was returned for his resource guarding issue. His aggression only gotten worse with the next 4 homes he went too. He started to growl at other dogs/cats, then progressed to strangers. After a whole year of training and working with Loki, he only gotten worse. He started to nip at people. It had to come to the hard decision of putting Loki down. We believe he will much happier over the rainbow bridge without living in fear. We love and miss you Loki!

This should be lesson to those wanting to make a life commitment to an animal. Please train your new pets and care for them. Shelters don't want to make hard decisions like this from people not knowing what they are getting themselves into.

This is Emily! She is a 6 year old sweetheart. She is a Shepherd/ Cattle dog mix. She is currently at a foster and so far she is having fun chilling on the couch and taking long naps. She would be perfect for someone looking for an older/mature dog. She is a great listener and needs her furver home!

This is Scheilie (she-lee), she is a sweet and very playful girl. She is a aussie mix and around 8 months old. She is a bit shy at first but with some head scratches, she is all yours. She is a great walking buddy for any active people out there. She needs her furever home!

This is Mini & Rufus, they came into together after being dumped at a kind woman's home. She tried for weeks to find them a good home while managing her own pets. We have taken them in and tried to get the work out about these adorable dogs.
Mini is a 4 month old lab mix puppy! She has soft blonde fur and big brown eyes. She has lots to learn from a growing family. She is currently working on her potty training and leash training.
Rufus is a 3 year old pit mix. He is the sweetest boy in the land. He loves his tummy to be rubbed and to sun tan. He does well all types of dogs/cats/kids. He just needs his furever family!

We believe he is a Blue healer, jack Russel mix.
(At least according to the Mennonite family we got him from.)
Big brown spots on his body with little brown spots over his belly. I believe he still has his harness on, and possibly his lead leash. It’s a gray and black one. No tag as he somehow manages to rip it off.

He is a mid size dog. He weighed about 30 lbs at his last vet appointment. I think he’s put on some weight since then.
In October of 2022 he broke his back left leg. So he walks with a small limp. He’s not a fan of people touching/messing with it. He is also not a huge fan of male dogs. And usually takes a couple days to warm up to other female dogs.

He was last seen at our home (locates between Otterville and Syracuse Mo) on Monday night.

She is home safe and sound. We have this precious girl here at our office, if anyone is missing her she followed some bicycle riders down the Katy trail to the visitors center. Please share so we can get her back home.

Missing Puppy! Female Great Pyrenees mix, about 8 weeks old. With a black collar on. Went missing early this morning. Last seen on 6th and Morgan st.

We are starting a fundraiser for our shelter! We are working on slowly updating our shelter with all the neighborhoods coming into town. We will need more space for all the new dogs/cats that will come in. Help us build our donation fund to better the animals!

This is Jett. He is a 8 month old Bernese/Shepky. He is a very large boy and has lots of curly hair. He loves to play outside with the other dogs. He is shy at first but with some lovings, he is all yours. He is getting better on a leash but still needs some training. Kid friendly as well! He needs his furever home!
