It's time for an official introduction! Some of you may already know us from Creekside Pet Center but many of you haven't had the opportunity to get to know us yet. We are the Brummets! Jacob, Amanda, and our two daughters Bindi and Harper. As you can see from the picture we live and breathe animals! We have a small hobby farm of our own currently with 5 horses, 2 zebu's, 4 goats, a little more than 100 chickens, 4 ducks, 6 dogs, one cat, and one goldfish! Amanda and I both grew up with animals and graduated with Animal Science degrees. We have worked all over with a large variety of animals. Amanda has spent some time training big cats and Bears and I have trained elephants as well as a variety of other exotics. We both have a love for riding horses and enjoy camping and trail riding with our kids. In fact we met while working on a wild horse sanctuary in California. We even adopted Truffles, the paint horse you see in the picture and brought her back with with us to Missouri where she gets to be an ambassador for wild horses at all the local events we take her to! After spending a few years moving around the country and working at some incredible animal facilities it was time to move closer to home and think about our future. The idea for a dog boarding facility was sparked by my father and it was off to the races. Amanda and I designed, built and now 9 years later continue to run our business with the same goals as when we started, we always wanted a place that our pups would be happy. We wanted to break the mold of traditional boarding and truly design a facility that was best for the pups! Creekside has been our home away from home since opening day. Our girls have been raised there and I call them our comfort crew. Every time they come to work they insist on saying hi to each and every animal to make sure they are doing ok! We are extremely fortunate and blessed to have the opportunity take on Dirty Hairy's and run it as a sister location to Creekside and Creekside's Bed and Biscuit. While you will see some minor changes over the months to come you will see so much stay exactly the same! We are honored that the whole staff will be staying with us and we think you'll love our new full time Manager Alyssa. Alyssa has worked for us at Creekside as a part time employee as she went through school gaining her degree in Animal Science and is an amazing kind caring compassionate person. We know that change is hard and so many of you will miss Susan as she moves on to the next chapter of her life but we hope and will strive to provide the same great care to all the dogs that come through our doors and love them as we do our own!
