We got a call to track this deer the weekend of Muzzeloader. The hunter said he was broadside, at 20yrds. Was using a mechanical broadhead with a fast speed compound. When we arrived and got to the shot location, we found insane amounts of blood, 1 bedding site, multiple blood trails(from being bumped) which made it a little more difficult for our hound. Deer was shot high behind the shoulder with no apparent exit wound. We decided to pull the hound off, as he was giving us signs the deer was still alive and look who finally shows himself! Trusting Major is so hard sometimes because you think the deer is no way alive, but this just shows how incredibly tough they truly are. Thanks for sharing the trail cam pic with us, Jake!
