We have a couple workshops posted to our square site—dahlia dividing & wreath making.
And tulip & ranunculus bulbs are up for ordering (October delivery/pick up)

It Free Farmstand Friday with a twist!

This week it’s a DIY bouquet and bring your own rubber bands (sorry, forgot to set out the rubber bands). There are bags in the green tray and SO many Shiro plums too. Let them sit on your counter if they’re still hard & green.

More first blooms! I love how wonky some of them are (while hoping they work out the kinks on the next blooms!). For anyone feeling like they’re way behind because their dahlias aren’t blooming yet, I still have plenty that are only 6-12” tall. These were all pre-sprouted back in February and transplanted as plants.

Dahlias! I did pinch a few and the slugs sure helped pinch more than their share (🤬). The first blooms of the year can be a little wonky, a little bit “tasted” & beat up. But they bring joy! AC Twisp, KA’s Mocha Katie, Ruthie G & Linda’s Baby.

Today’s my final plant sale for the spring! C’mon by 1731 172nd St SE, Bothell 98012 between 10am & 2pm to fill all the holes in your dahlia beds and rows! (Or add some fillers, foliage, veggies & herbs—companion plant!) If the weather decides to jazz it up with lightning we will close early. And we may have 🐰 out for petting too! (And a few 👀🏠)

Last call for shipped dahlia cutting orders! We’re transitioning all unsold cuttings to pick up only at midnight on Memorial Day (11:59pm 5/27). 🌸 Skagit & Whatcom friends, we’ll be at the Puget Sound Youth Livestock Sale Friday & Saturday and could meet you at the Skagit County Fairgrounds with orders if that’s helpful! 😊🐰

The dahlias have grown! And so has my under planting of lettuce 🥰 Do you companion or double plant with your dahlias? (I also have onions, leeks, beets, chard, spinach, mustard greens & bok choy under planted.)

Dahlia lovers! The last day to purchase shipped dahlia cuttings will be Memorial Day (5/27) at midnight Pacific time. Tis time to turn my full attention to planting aaalllll the starts in the ground 🥰. Local dahlia friends, you are the lucky ones as all the previous “shipped cuttings” stock will now be available for local pick up starting the 29th of May.
We’re still offering pre-orders of other plant starts with pick up in Woodinville this Saturday (and then Bothell after that).
Our final plant sales of the year are Saturday, May 25th in Woodinville Tonnemaker Valley Farm from 10-2 & June 15th at Dill & Dahlia in Bothell from 10-2.

Happy Farmstand Friday!

This week we have quite a few 4-pack of starts that didn’t enjoy last week’s heat wave 😬 they’re just missing one or two plants or are slightly singed (will totally grow through it!). We also have more pot tubers of dahlias!

And bouquets, of course.

I’m taking the plunge and am shipping dahlia cuttings! If you, like me, have a few dahlia varieties left on your wish list or you managed to rot a few tubers 🙋🏼‍♀️😩 and need replacements here’s another chance! Cuttings ship on Tuesdays via priority mail and I use the clone shippers. You can also pick up locally using “ONFARM” as your coupon code 😊 Only the items that have “shipped cutting” in the name are shippable—be careful not to mix them as that will give you an error in your cart & prevent check out. Happy Friday!!

Today is the first Friday of May and also happens to be our first Farmstand Friday of 2024! 🎉🎉

This week we have:

🪴plant starts (lettuce, Asian greens, sweet pea flowers and dahlia cuttings & pot tubers)

The stand will be out today until 7pm or everything is gone.

We will not be having a farmstand next Friday, but will return on 5/17!

We’ve been busy! This past week we built and filled four 3’x32’ and one 3’x30’ raised beds 💪🏼 In mid-March my secondary garden owner told me he may be selling his house this year….so I quickly made plans for my 250+ dahlias to have a new home! My parents were planning on taking down unproductive trees in their orchard and said I could use the space. And tomorrow I can plant my dahlias! 🎉🎉 So incredibly thankful for my parents and their love of growing, use of the truck, and for helping build & fill the beds! ❤️
