HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the person who makes SoFetch! possible! She is y’all’s go to gal and she gets it done. Wish her a Happy Bday for a free night of boarding! Jk she would murder me if I was serious! But still! Wish her a Happy Bday!
A quick update on Erni, as many of you have been asking about her. She is feeling so much better! After two weeks of regular meals, medication, a much needed bath, lots of treats, and some TLC, she is looking quite a bit healthier. She still has a long way to go, but for now she is enjoying the love and support from not only us, but everyone who has been donating to her care. Thank you all!
Fosters
Take a look at our 3 fosters who are currently up for adoption through Gods Dogs Rescue! They all stay with us and are always up for meeting new people. Know anyone interested? Let us know❤️
Heidi is a female Malinois who is high energy and would make a great running partner. She is about 3-4 years old and roughly 60lbs. She was rescued from the streets with the help of a friend.
Ralfy has been with us for almost two years now. He was rescued from the side of the road. Kaity thought he had passed until he suddenly moved. Upon rescue she rushed him to the vet where they found he had been hit by a car and had a broken hip.
Tala is a young gal who we actually trained. Due to unfortunate circumstances her owner had to give her up and asked that we find a loving home for her. This girl is trained in obedience, loves people, and has lived with other dogs and cats. She’s a great catch!
Kaity encountered this dog on the Animal Control Services website. She was identified as a 13-year-old dog surrendered by her owner in this condition. Due to her involvement in an ongoing investigation, she remained at Animal Control until the investigation concluded, essentially treated as evidence. It's difficult to articulate the emotions stirred in us by this situation. While we always strive to see the best in people and maintain optimism, instances like this cast doubt on that outlook. When will the citizens of San Antonio as a whole, prioritize the well-being of our animals? Animals who show us unwavering love, regardless of the challenges we impose on them? Living in Texas has presented its hurdles, but the most profound one for us has been the lack of compassion and responsibility towards animals displayed by humans here.
Erni is now under our care as a hospice foster, meaning she will remain with us until she passes away. Thankfully we work with an amazing rescue who has offered to sponsor her for us. Ourselves and God's Dogs Rescue are committed to nurturing her back to health and providing her with all the care and love she deserves until she is ready to depart. She deserved better treatment, and she will now experience love and compassion from this moment forward.
If you'd like to meet her when you drop off your dogs, we would be delighted for you to do so. Despite her trials, she remains a cheerful girl who adores human company and snuggles. ❤️
