Had a bit of a emergency with Mia yesterday. She lacerated her lower eyelid but thanks to our capable vet, she is on the mend now!

Our beautiful appaloosa Cyd has been with us since 2002. She is a large pony mare, and a very opinionated one at that! She is part of our lesson and show team program. She is due to have a sarcoid tumor removed in the coming months. She is looking for a sponsor or team of sponsors! Please share her out and help us find one for her!

Come meet Gus!

Rescue horses are capable of incredible things! Gus has been with us since 1999. He was an original member of the Stafford Co Morgan rescue by the Equine Rescue League in 1991. At the age of 18 he took to lower level show jumping after years as a dressage and hunter/equitation horse, and exceeded every expectation! He never liked to tap a rail he didn't know as seen here :) He was about 20 or 21 when this photo was taken. He is now 27 and happily conducting round pen lessons and even doing lead line. Come meet Gus and discover our herd!

We hauled our QH Harry, to Wolf Creek Equine today for a wound evaluation. It looks like we should be able to manage it effectively, and at home, so keep those good thoughts coming! This bill was just over $300 so please consider making a contribution to his care fund! He will require several weeks of treatment and medication which can add up. We have several payment options on our website at www.bigpurplebarnbowie.org and your donation is tax deductible!
