Got to work on a young mustang today who’s been through a bit of a tumble recently. He was showing signs of trauma and was especially hesitant to reach down through his head and neck—classic signs of discomfort and guarding.
After a full assessment, his back and hips checked out within normal ranges, but his neck, shoulders, and especially the area around his withers and trapezius were tight and bracing. I focused our session there, working to release tension and create some relief. Healing doesn’t happen overnight, but by the end of our session, it was incredible to see him already reaching and stretching further than he had at the start—small wins that matter!
Moving forward, I’ve recommended targeted stretches to support his recovery, and he’ll also be visiting a chiropractor to ensure nothing is misaligned. With some rest, thoughtful bodywork, and consistent TLC, I’m excited to check in again next month and see how far he’s come.
Big shoutout to his amazing owners who are all-in for his healing journey. That kind of dedication makes all the difference!
