🏠 We offer a year-round Pet Food Pantry Program to help with your needs. Just call 941-742-5933 to arrange a pick-up at Palmetto Adoption Center or Bishop Animal Shelter.

We need your help to keep this going! The pantry operates on generous community donations of food and supplies, and you can contribute too by dropping off unopened items at any of our locations.

This is a great video about car safety and impact crates. Whether at home or traveling your dog is much safer in an impact crate than a wire, flimsy plastic, or wood crate. I always recommend rufflands.

I’ll be parked in the first parking lot off 51st next to the soccer fields. Just shoot me a text, or hunt me down. No fee, just an opportunity to keep improving, my main focus will be the dogs I bring, but I will absolutely give you feedback as well. Adoption isn’t for everyone, but if you have the desire to help there are a ton of dogs that could really use it. I discount my program for ANY dog that comes directly from a Rescue or Shelter and into my board and train program.

🆘 URGENT PLEA: This is not the type of holiday update we were hoping for… MCAW is facing a crisis this holiday season, and we need immediate assistance!

We are now beyond critical capacity. Bishop Animal Shelter is packed to the brim with not a single empty kennel; currently, MCAW locations house 161 dogs and 82 cats. Over the past months, we’ve been inundated, taking in an average of 11 animals per day. Our dogs desperately need your help the most.

We urge our incredible community to PLEASE ADOPT or FOSTER a dog today! We’re calling on our Transfer Partners from local shelters and rescues to lend a hand by taking in some of our pets. With your support, we can overcome this challenging situation.

As I reflect on the past year in business, I think Rhaegar was one of my most rewarding cases. He came into my program broken and very untrusting. Using the Top Tier K9 model to train him AND his new adopter, he was able to be placed successfully and safely in a home within 8 weeks of arriving. Without the training, the support of Satchels, and his wonderful adopter he’s a dog that would have sat shutdown in a shelter for years. His placement (especially so quickly) saved not just his life, but made room for the next dog that needed help. I love doing what I do.

Decoy/Helper opportunities

Top Tier K9® is one of the fastest growing dog training companies in the country. We are interviewing for decoy/helper positions in our Pensacola and Tallahassee markets.

A decoy/helper is an individual who uses the proper equipment and load management techniques to increase a dogs confidence, ability to manage pressure, and to help a dog execute controlled, deep, full and calm bites in defense of the dogs owner.

We do not work as a bite club. We have dozens of protection dogs, military and police K9 candidates that need to be worked in the training center and through safe and practical scenario work. The focus will be on the company dogs, then staff dogs including your own.

We start our training at 8 weeks old and progress the puppy through Foundation Dog® certification. We will train the right candidate on the proper decoy techniques for puppies and adolescent dogs for great decoys who simply don't have that background. After Foundation Dog® certification, the dog is ready to be finished in scenario work (as an executive or family protection dog, as a police/military K9, or as a special security dog for defense subcontractors).

Applicants must be experienced at training protection dogs and safely improving the dogs bite, load management, and obedience through prey and defense drives. Part time positions available progressing into full time for the right people.

Happy Thanksgiving to all our clients, followers, friends and community. Tomorrow will still be a “work” day for me and the pups in my care but I will be taking a break from social media and my phone.

I would like to take a moment to express gratitude for all the moments in my life that have brought me to this place.

A special thanks goes out to the Top Tier K9 staff who helped educate me during my certification process with Top Tier K9’s and to my friends and community that have helped build my business this last year, either through word of mouth, sending your pup to me, or by doing physical stuff. You are all so wonderful and I will do everything in my power to continue to earn your friendship, trust, and support.

To anyone and everyone in rescue. I can’t stress this enough, the rescue world has hit the hardest place we have ever seen it, no matter how you are helping (money, walking dogs, working in a shelter, organizing events) thank you for you work, it is noticed and appreciated.

And lastly, thank you Dan for all your help keeping Top Tier K9- Bradenton beautiful and in working order. Your dedication and effort allows me to focus on the dogs in our care and to help as many dogs and owners as possible.

The holidays are around the corner and some of you might be thinking about adding a new member to the family. Some things to consider:

Will this dogs breed characteristics match my lifestyle? Herding and protection breeds will be nippy, do you know how to direct them to safe and appropriate outlets?

What type of time do I have to devote to training? Both puppies and rescues will require time commitments, and you will be on their schedule as they adjust. Crates should be impact crates and not wire crates for safety. If you have family commitments/parties etc waiting till January to bring a new pup in might be wise.

How will this dog get along with the other members of my family? ( if you are expecting a baby or plan to be expecting a baby, wait to have the baby and see what your schedule looks like at that point)

If these questions raise more questions, feel free to reach out. I love working with my owners to help them find the right pup. Don’t forget, both puppies and dogs can come straight to me and I can train them and educate you to get ahead of most issues with the 4week board and train.
