We wrap up our summer shows this week at Good luck to all our horses and riders. While we look forward to an amazing week, it is bittersweet as it’s the last show for Katharine and KT Quinn. Katharine heads off to college to ride and make us all proud back at home. KT Quinn is available for his next partner and to be tried this week. Check our feed for more information on adding this superstar gelding to your barn.

KT Quinn “Chuck” is coming available for lease or sale this August, and he’s the one everyone is looking for! Chuck is the ultimate dream horse, looking for a new 5* home. We would keep him in our program in a minute but unfortunately, do not have anyone in need at this time.

In just three months, Chuck took his current rider from the 2’9” to qualification for the 3’3” Medal Finals. He then became her Maclay mount the following year. Ultimately she achieved her goal of a D1 Scholarship with the help of Chuck. Chuck always jumps, is as safe as can be, and is the best teacher. His USEF record is a mile long, with blue ribbons, tricolors, and top national derby placings in every derby he has entered in the last 2 years. He has excelled in Children’s Hunters, 3’3 and 3’6 Equitation, Age Group Eq ( #2 in Zone 4 15-17, 2023), Adult Equitation/Medals, National Hunter Derbies, and Performance Hunters always winning or achieving top placings and scores.

🌞☀️ Feeling the Heat in Florida’s Dog Days of Summer! 🌴🔥 We’re gearing up for an exciting summer of shows, with and on the horizon. The horses are enjoying their cold baths! We always protect their feet with Hoof Oil to keep them thrush free and protected. We also spray them down with The Good Stuff to keep the horses shiny as well as to treat and prevent any fungus!

🏠**What do you like most about KDE - What couldn’t you like about KDE… Excellent training, horse care, grooms, facility. I love love the barn!!!

🏋️‍♀️**Favorite Exercises Kris Sets:** - My favorite exercise would be when Kris sets up his “play land”. Numerous bounces, gymnastics and then eventually do a course. Kris keeps it fun and it’s ever changing and keeps it challenging and interesting!!

🎯**Riding Goals:**- My goal is to kick butt in the meter and eventually move up to the 1.10m

We are so grateful to have Priscilla as a part of our barn. She’s always supportive of KDE and all the riders. We are excited about her new partnership with Morkus!

Exciting News from KDE!**

We are thrilled to announce the newest addition to our team: Julie Harrington, our new assistant trainer. Julie has been a familiar face around here, having boarded and trained with us for over five years. Her two amazing horses, Moose and Cori, are a testament to her dedication and skill, as she bred and brought them along herself.

Julie has always been a tremendous help to Kris at shows, offering invaluable advice and support. Her extensive knowledge and keen eye in the hunters and equitation ring, honed over 36 years as a USEF ‘R’ Judge, will undoubtedly benefit our riders and help them prepare for shows.

Kris has recognized the need for additional support as we continue to grow, and we are so happy that Julie has stepped in to join our team officially. Her willingness to share her expertise and help our riders achieve their goals is truly inspiring.

**Julie’s Bio:**

Julie has participated in the Hunter Jumper Industry for 52 years. As a junior, she competed in the Junior Hunters, Junior Jumpers, Equitation/Medals, and showed multiple horses in 3’6” to 4’ Hunter divisions. She won a Jumper Puissance at the age of 14.

She never stopped riding after her junior years and continued to train and compete both as an amateur and professional. She has competed in more than 12 states across seven different zones. She also served on the board of directors for the Colorado Hunter Jumper Association and the Maryland Horse Shows Association.

Additionally, she has been a USEF ‘R’ Judge in Hunters, Jumpers, and Equitation for 36 years. Her biggest goal now is to give back to the industry by helping others achieve their goals and dreams.

✨We are so excited for what the future holds with Julie on our team. Please join us in welcoming her as our new assistant trainer!

I am inspired everyday by the dedication and commitment I see in Kris’s lessons, Renessa’s management and the staff’s care.

🏋️‍♀️**Favorite Exercises Kris Sets:** - The complex gymnastics because they have helped me improve the connection with my horse and my balance over fences. Every exercise has a purpose and improves a skill.
