🎄When your bunny bestie also shares your love for Berners and comes to visit, you end up having a Bernese Mountain dog party! There was never a dull moment and they had so much fun together. I will never understand why they end up here. I don’t care what happens, my dogs will never leave me. Please spread the word, poor Max has been there over 6 months, these sweet faces break my heart! Make sure if you get a pup for the holidays you are in it for the long haul, the puppy phase is hard but does it ever pay off!

Cats and any animal for that matter. Our dogs are obviously house dogs but if you have strays be sure to use the yellow straw. It’s cheap at Tractor supply. You can buy totes, keep the lid on and cut a hole in it and fill it with straw. No animal deserves to live outdoors without shelter.

💤Happy Sunday ! Yes she has a bigger crate but she likes this one or she crawls into our cockapoos crate. She puts herself to bed when she’s tired or she see’s us getting ready for bed. Silly puppers, we love her so much!

Happy 12 weeks old to the babies! You should complete your last distemper shot today and if you have not please make an appointment to get the third and final shot. Please wait to do the rabies until they are 4 months old. Bordetella is optional if they are around other dogs often or kenneled then they should have this also and can be done at the time of the rabies shot. I do not do any other shots along with the rabies. During the winter I use orange shampoo for flea and tick prevention. I actually use this shampoo year round even when they are treated because it smells so good and it cleans and degreases the coat so nicely. They are old enough to use this now, just don’t get it in their eyes and use baby shampoo on their faces. I will put the baby shampoo I use on faces in the comments. https://amzn.to/3FXFyKI

Here are a few items to help you get past the land shark phase. Good news though by 6 months of age the sharp puppy teeth should all be gone. When they bite you place a toy in their mouth to teach them its not ok. Firmly tell them no when they grab the pant leg or anything they can’t chew on.

☺️Puppy check in! Post a picture in the comments and tell me how your babies are doing please. Thank you to those who have left a review on here! If you havent had a chance to yet, I would greatly appreciate it ! This is for all past and current litters. Betah(pictured) does not miss a meal, however she doesn’t eat like there will never be food again so there’s no need for a slow feeder. I’m going to do a tutorial video on how to brush and groom your pup once my back is healed from surgery for all of you. Please let me know if you need any help or tips for anything and I will make a video. Your babies are old enough for commands now and teaching them to sit is a good start. This will take no time at all as Betah learned after 4 times of telling her to sit. I use plain Cheerios for training. We teach our dogs to p*e on command also so when you take them out say go potty and once they do have the Cheerio ready to give him/her. You must give the treat immediately after they potty for them them to learn this command and give him/her lots of praise.(make it a really big deal with happiness and excitement on your voice) This is really helpful to teach them this command, especially while traveling or when the weather is yucky to tell them so they get the job done more quickly. Also they are babies so please have patience with potty training, crate training is the best thing you can do for your pup especially for potty training and keeping them safe. Remember they don’t have full control of their bladders until they are around 6 months of age. Do not be lazy with potty training make sure you get up and let them out often or it will take much longer to potty train. As soon as the wake up from a nap take them out, as soon as they finish eating take them out . Do not scold them after an accident unless you catch them in the act. Showing them the p*e and p**p and rubbing their nose in it will make them regress from potty training and they don’t know what they are in trouble for. Their memory is about 2 minutes long and after that they don’t remember what they did at this age. First thing you should do in the am is take them out. Consistency is key! Taking them outside to potty they will want to explore so give them extra time because they will try to play before eliminating and if you don’t give them enough time they will have an accident once they come in because they were playing and got distracted. This is where teaching them to go on command comes in handy. Puppies usually p*e more than once when on a potty break so be patient with them. If you have been gone and come home and take them out to potty they may be so excited to see you and not go. Best way is to let them out, have your greeting snuggles , bring them back inside for drink and say hello again, then take them back outside. Dogs care more about you than going potty so once the excitement of you being home wears off they will remember they have to potty and have an accident, so taking them out twice will help eliminate this. Hold back water and food at least 2 hours before bed. We are accident free in the kennel at night with Betah and only getting up once in the middle of the night to let her out, which is amazing for only being 9 weeks old.

💉Just a reminder it’s time for your babies second vaccine. Bordetella can be done at 12 weeks with 3rd vaccine if you board your dogs. Do NOT do Rabies until they are at least 4 months or older. Sorry the picture is blurry, Betah didn’t want to snuggle and was moving. I just love her heart shaped nose. 🖤She’s good medicine for me to get better faster, so we can start leash training more. With the help of getting her harness on and leash, I should be able to walk her with human walking assistants, in about two weeks. Until then I’m just trying manage this pain.

❤️The Deboer family is loving up on Echo/Ophelia! I got connected to Dawn through another bunny customer Judge that has become a friend also. Dawn raises frenchies and has always loved Berners and decided now was the time! It’s been so great getting to know Dawn as she has a heart of gold. Ophelia will be just a ten minutes away so there will be play dates for sure along with their brother Booker(Simon). Stay sweet our little energetic bouncy girl! This girl could make anyone smile with her goofy personality , she’s just like her grandma Stella. ❤️

🐮We are so incredibly grateful for meeting this family last summer. As you know I raise bunnies and Tiffany came to pick up her buns with her mom and sister and found out we raise Berners also. She followed my page and fell in love with Blue now Hopa, which means beautiful and that she definitely is! Hopa has a whole cattle ranch to help with and some pretty sweet girls that I have no doubt will be her best friends! I just love that God sent such amazing families our way! It’s so fun to get to know these families and have them become part of ours as I stay in touch with each and every pup and their families. Enjoy sweet Hopa, we miss you so much!
