Why do we teach tricks to our dogs?
1) It builds confidence - For some dogs, it is the rapid success and reward that helps them grow their confidence and become better learners. We then transfer that confidence into obedience skills.
2) It strengthens the bond - Owners and their dogs form a much stronger connection
3) It tires those busy minds - When the weather is too hot or too cold or too rainy, we can find ways to give our dogs a fun activity using a small space. The mind activity helps them feel more calm and they are able to relax
4) It's fun - Who doesn't like to show off a cool trick with their dog!?
