“I was walking my big boy Brutus, then cleaning up his explosive diarrhea from the floor, walls and bedding in my travel trailer, changing the sheets on my bed, giving Brutus a bath, taking a shower myself and changing clothes myself, then drinking a 7Up on the side of my bed before falling back to sleep. Why do you ask Mr. Prosecutor?”

Andy and I were sitting outside behind the travel trailer watching Brutus, while the neighbor was mowing his lot next door. In between the two properties is the mowed area our RV park landlord keeps up, then very tall grass and then the area the neighbor was mowing. Anyway, we’re sitting there discussing the Mantle color pattern of Great Danes, when out of the tall grass charges a very large wild boar hog!! He was coming straight at us and I jumped up to grab Brutus’ collar (who hadn’t even noticed the hog because he was chewing on a stick) and started saying “dammit, Dammit, DAMMIT” over and over again. Andy, who was looking at his phone said “what…..” and then he saw the hog right as it turned about 15’ in front of us and ran into the grass. It stayed in the grass a few minutes and then busted out again about 10-20 yards from us and ran across the back driveway of the RV park into a little wooded area, then crossed the road that runs behind the park, almost colliding with a truck and ran across a field into the marsh and brush back there. That sucker was FAT!! I wish I had been recording what Brutus was doing because I would have caught most of that memorable experience!!

💙💙💙💙Please say a prayer for us, Kylee specifically, as she’s lost two pets within the last 7 days (her cat Ravenne was killed the day Hurricane Beryl hit our area by our own dogs); but today we lost our Pittie, Zeus. He was the absolute sweetest dog and the best Great Dane puppy sitter there ever was. Andy found him curled up in the barn in the hay, where he normally slept, so he must have passed in his sleep this afternoon because he was up playing this morning when we went out. Yesterday, he was playing and frolicking around me and Kylee, while we worked on the fence, acting like the puppy he used to be. I’m going to miss he and Brutus, arguing through the fence at each other, and despite having toys, him chewing on sticks and aluminum cans (I joked sometimes that he was part goat) and his rough almost hoarse bark. These pictures are how I want to remember him, always happy and smiling like only Pitties do. Until we meet you at the end of the Rainbow Bridge, rest easy Sweet Boy. Shout out to the KFC in Beeville TX for giving Big Brute, himself water!! YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST!! We normally have water in his bucket when we travel but today, it got poured out before we left the house.

Today our Big Brute turns 5!! He’s back home with his human sisters and nephew, while Dad and I move the travel trailer from West Texas to South Texas; which makes me sad 😞 BUT he will be back out with us in a few weeks ♥️ video cred goes to his sister Madi ♥️

Hey Big Brute Family, one of our past puppies is in a need of a new home. Miss June’s current family’s job and living arrangements are changing within the next month and he would like her to stay in a home where she can still run and play with other animals and interact with people. She is up to date on vaccinations, flea medication, has been spayed, is house trained and is eating Diamond Naturals food. She will be 2 on May 6th, so she is very much still a puppy with puppy energy and needs. I have more videos and pictures upon request. If you can see your way to adding Miss June to your family, please message me and I will put you in contact with her owner.
