I was so proud of Charli today! She lacks confidence with other dogs and new people. Today she started coming out of her shell! I brought Casper along to help Charli feel safe as he is a confidence building dog.

Creating a positive bond based off respect and of corse love creates a well balanced and in tune dog. Now Casper is so in tune to me that he follows me around when I ride. With proper training, this is possible for you and your pup too!

Casper is loving the heat! As doggie parents, it’s important to know the signs of a dog that is over heating. The signs are bright red tongue/gums, and excessive heavy panting. I have a few tricks to make sure my dogs keep cool during the summer! First, always keep water on you. I keep my dogs core cool by splashing water on their chest and belly whenever I see they are getting hot. I give water in small amounts frequently. It’s important to not let your dogs inhale a large amount of water in one sitting as it can cause bloat! If your dog inhaled water fast in one sitting either use a slow feeder bowl with limited water, give over a longer period of time or give a bowl of ice cubes instead. Certain breeds are more prone to over heating such as bulldogs, pugs and bully type dogs that have a shorter nose. It’s very important to not keep those breeds out in hot weather for extended periods of time. Stay cool everyone!

Happy Easter 🐣 from Casper’s Canine Care! It’s such a beautiful day that Casper needs to close his eyes to soak in the sun! We are still offering no contact training sessions and FaceTime training sessions.
