Quick storm update- tornado threat seems to have passed and things are now calm at the barn.

The new footing in one of our covered arenas is finished!

Removed all of the old worn out footing, fixed and releveled the base where it was needed, replaced kickboards that were in bad shape and brought in and leveled all new footing!

We are excited to announce Nichole Smith Dressage will be training at Siebert Farms formerly Sunflower Barns.

Nichole started her career in the mid 90s at Temple Farms under the tutelage of a master trainer from the Spanish riding school in Austria. 5 FEi trainers at Temple Farms, including George Williams provided education to her as well. During Nichole’s years at Temple she rode in Performances including the “airs above ground” always a found memory for her. Nichole leased a PSG horse for a season to start her competition career. The then earned her bronze medal and part of her Silver. Nichole next started her family of 2 children and started a small program of her own.

In 2005 Ebikur was purchased as a national level horse by Pat Gillian. Ebikur came into Nichole’s life as a 4 year old 30 days under saddle. This was one hot horse Nichole could not get enough of!! Ebikur may have been purchased as a national ring horse but as a coming 6 year old entered in a local clinic Olympian Robert Dover saw more potential for the pair than to top out at national level. First international stop was FEI developing young horse PSG. Nichole and Ebikur placed 7th and 8th and 8th overall. From developing horse the pair made the move in 2011 to train with Stephen Peters in California and compete at the CDIs at PSG and I1 on the west coast. Training at Aroyo Del Mar was a game changer and eye opener for Nichole. The finesse and horsemanship she was surrounded by inspired her for all training in her future. All FEI competitions were stacked with Olympic riders including Stephen Peters , Gunther Siedel, and Jan Ebeling just to name a few. Nichole and Eblikur still made placings from 3rd to 6th place consistently.
Needing to return to her family in Illinois Nichole left California and continued her education through clinics with Conrad Schumacher, FEI judge and trainer Bill Warren, Olympic judge Lilo Fore, Olympian Shelly Francias, and Olympian Jan Ebeling. The pair continued to be successful though Grand Prix with scores up to 78%. Multiple placings at regionals including Champion in the Grand Prix ring.
Nichole also imports horses from Europe.

2 she started under saddle and was very successful with both! 2nd level reserve, champion and qualified for national championships also winning second level, reserve champion Horse of the year!

Nichole’s students over the years have also been very successful from adult ametures to jr young riders. Mutiple high point titles at shows, Regional championships placements though champion. Stephanie Pace and Susan Taylor both bringing their horses up the levels with Nichole had great success at national championships in Kentucky. Stephaine Pace placing 4th in her division!

Nichole also enjoys helping young professionals on their journey. Ciara Bennet has done well and has earned her Bronze and will earn the other 1/2 of her silver medal in the near future!

🌻Ride in our 3 indoor arenas, 5 outdoor arenas, hay fields and trails.
🌻Grass hay fed 3x daily
🌻Barn grain (or owner provided grain) fed 2x daily
🌻7 day/wk individual turn out (weather permitting) grass & dry lots available.
🌻Stalls cleaned daily
🌻Blanket service included
🌻Fully matted 12x12 and 12x14 stalls

We are very excited for our first show of the season.. you still have a few hours to pre-register.
Please be aware that we have discovered a mis-print on the show bill.
Classes 16 and 20 should be listed as
NOVICE, not YOUTH NOVICE for high point.
Anyone that has pre registered, you can still make changes before and during the show tomorrow , We apologize for the confusion.

Looks like we are going to have a great turnout, looking forward to our returning participants as well as a great number of newcomers!
