Minerva functions so much better with the brace, but she hates it. She has chewed it to bits such that it is hanging by a thread. BUT, even with the brace, she will not let that leg touch the ground anymore. It is atrophying badly. The vet and I have spoken about it, and the leg is going to have to be amputated soon. The younger she is, the better she will handle it. Breaks my heart to think about it, tho.

Dog is nervous as I enter kennel by avoiding eye contact on other side of kennel with a tense body and wide eyes. He displays sociability by coming over for tossed treats and treats from hand with a tense body, wide eyes and a tucked tail. After taking treats dog retreats away from me and displays stress by beginning to fidget and pace around kennel. Behavior possibly due to environment.
