Shibui ni Animal Rescue and Sanctuary This is the page for Shibui ni Animal Rescue and Sanctuary. I had a passion for dogs from the womb. My sanctuary is Shibui ni, and my name is Tere.

In today's world, as more and more people see dogs as "throw-away," there is an unlimited need for rescue and safe homes. When people do not spay or neuter their pets, there is an exponential growth in the number of strays, being malnourished, hit by cars, attacked by other animals, diseased, etc. Providing a lifetime safe space for those strayed and feral animals on their last legs is what I do.

This is Tara, the mother of all eight Shibui ni pups from south Texas. I love this girl so much it hurts. She lives in Atlanta with the best family on the planet. Someone got a 'do today!
I pulled Amalthaea from her pack this morning to take her to the groomer, and she was not having it. Very defiantly, she ran back to the gate, where her five packmates were sitting, watching, wondering why I had taken her. She sat right there with them, on my side of the gate, and demanded I recognize her rights. Unfortunately, we had to have the discussion about authoritarian regimes.
