Did you know that over 80% of dogs and 70% of cats show signs of dental disease by age three? Dental health plays a major role in your pet’s overall well-being—yet it’s one of the most commonly overlooked areas of care.

Plaque and tartar buildup can lead to bad breath, pain, tooth loss, and even infections that spread to the heart, liver, and kidneys. The good news? Dental disease is largely preventable with routine care and early intervention.

During Pet Dental Health Month, we’re encouraging pet owners to schedule a dental exam and cleaning to help keep those teeth shining and those tails wagging! Our team uses safe anesthesia and advanced dental technology to make the procedure as stress-free and effective as possible.

Today BVMC would like to honor our client care specialist of 10 years, Melody.

Melody started working for us in 2015 after leaving her corporate job of over 30 years .

Melody goes above and beyond to ensure that every client and their pet feel truly valued and cared for the moment they arrive. She welcomes each guest with genuine warmth and a friendly smile, creating a positive first impression every time. Working in client care is no easy task, yet Melody consistently handles the challenges with grace, never backing down from a heavy workload or the fast-paced multitasking required at the front desk.

Thank you Melody for your 10 years of service. We appreciate you and all you do for our BVMC team.

Last but not least, we recognize our 🐱🐶Animal Care and Cleaning Team 🧽🪣 on day 5️⃣, our final day, of Staff Appreciation Week.

Although you may not see these three in the lobby or exam rooms often, they are busy behind the scenes. Taking care of boarding animals, checking in and stocking supplies, and keeping our clinic clean after long, busy days are just a few of the many tasks they complete every single day. Their kindness and devotion towards every animal who stays with us, from remembering their favorite toys, food, and people to making sure they get extra scratches and love while away from home, is invaluable to our clinic. We couldn’t do what we do without them.
