We're all about the snakes! We specialize in rescuing, rehabilitating, rehoming, educating, and relocating\removing of snakes.

Hissy Fits Snake Rescue, founded in 2008, is a non profit privately owned and operated rescue that caters solely to the needs of our serpent friends in Broken Arrow, Ok, and local surrounding areas. We work with any and all snake species, and also manage a snake sanctuary within our rescue for special cases and educational animals. We never charge an adoption fee, and will only rehome snakes to kn

owledgeable and experienced individuals. We require proof of a proper setup of the species being adopted. Any snakes in our sanctuary will never be bred, and will play an active role in our snake education services that we offer to all surrounding local communities.

Believe it or not, we are equipped to deal with venomous snakes and actually have a small facility where we can house surrendered venomous snakes that were collected as pets.

It is never a good idea to take a snake out of the wild unless you are doing so for legitimate scientific purposes! Sadly some people will take home a venomous snake not realizing the responsibility and risk that comes with keeping a venomous snake.

Once upon a time, a serpent saved a young woman’s life...

...yes, it’s true. A single snake and a rekindled childhood passion saved a young woman during a very dark time in her life. That young woman was me. Snakes saved my life. So I decided that I would dedicate my life to saving theirs. And that’s when Hissy Fits Snake Rescue was born.

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for believing in me and what I do. I’ll never truly be able to repay the debt that I owe to these marvelous and misunderstood creatures. But I’ll never stop trying.

Long live the serpent. And, as it has been since the beginning, we’re all about the snakes!
