The Animal Services staff demonstrated exceptional dedication and diligence in creating an additional play area!!
We are committed to increasing the number of dogs in play areas to alleviate stress. Now we have adequate space to allow for more decompression and socialization time in play groups.

We are delighted to officially reintroduce our lovely Baily! She arrived at the shelter on 1/27/25. Baily was severely underweight upon arrival but has commenced gaining weight. Baily is now spayed, current on vaccinations, and heartworm negative! We have discovered that Baily flourishes in a lively, energetic environment. She has interacted well with our other dogs in play group. Baily also desires attention but also enjoys basking in the sun ☀️

Buddy, a male mixed breed dog aged 4-5 years, has landed himself in the shelter as a stray. Don't worry, we're on the case to reunite him with his owner! If that doesn't pan out, he'll be available for adoption on 2/5/25. We've observed that he loves going for car rides and seems to no be bothered with other dogs in the joining play area. Lola's day out experience today was truly exceptional! She demonstrated remarkable composure during the car ride, delighted in the ice cream, and earned the privilege of selecting her own toy at Tractor Supply due to her delightful public behavior.

Be sure to thank Tammy and Tammy, our remarkable staff members, for providing Lola with a much-needed break from the shelter!

The shelter is currently housing Knox, a male Chow mixed breed approximately 1-3 years old, who was brought in as a stray. We are seeking to reunite him with his owner. If unclaimed, Knox will be available for adoption on 2/3/25. According to the person who found him, Knox interacts positively with smaller dogs and is gentle with younger children. Further information will be provided following his stay at the shelter.

We’re reposting with some new gorgeous pictures of our famous Lola! 😍 We want to remind you about our partnership with Blue Pear Farms!

When they reached out to try and help us better promote our dogs, of course we said YES!

Our current longest resident is Lola, an affectionate former mama-dog who has long since weaned the last of her babies, and is ready to be babied herself in her very own forever home! Lola has been at the shelter since May of 2024, and we honestly just can’t understand why! But now, on top of getting all the love Lola has to offer, her future forever family will also get a free dinner from Blue Pear Farm for both her family and for Lola!

In addition, to help get Lola started on the right foot, a generous donor has offered to sponsor her dog food for 2-3 months, so her family can just work towards helping her get adjusted to her new home!

Let’s get Lola in her forever home! She is already spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines, and heartworm negative. She does well with laid back dogs, and soaks up attention from every person she has met. Come out and meet Lola today!

Edit: Tiger will be available 1/30/24.
Tiger, an approximately 3 month old male domestic short hair cat, will become available for adoption on 1/28/25. As a former stray, Tiger would benefit from socialization. Although he may initially appear reserved, Tiger's warm personality and soothing purrs emerge once he feels comfortable.

Baily arrived at the shelter as a stray animal. We are hoping to contact her owner. If she is not claimed by her owner, she will be available for adoption on 1/30/25.

Although we do not have extensive information about Baily at this time, we have observed that she knows basic commands and is an exceptionally happy and loving animal.

Today’s is brought to you by Hank, one of our many adoptable dogs!

Hank is an estimated 1-2 year old mixed breed boy, who found himself at our shelter on 1/13/2025 after being picked up as a stray. Unfortunately, no one ever came for him, so he’s now in the hunt for a forever home!

Hank has been such a sweetheart since making his way to our shelter, and loves receiving affection from everyone who stops at his kennel. He has even done well in our play groups with other dogs, so would likely enjoy having another dog to play with in his forever home!

Hank is such a laid-back, happy boy, and he deserves to spend the rest of his days being loved on by a family who cares about him.

Hank has now been neutered, microchipped, tested negative for heartworms, and is up-to-date on all his vaccinations. He is ready to go home at any time!

UPDATE‼️ Owner claimed‼️🛑‼️

Edit: Due to the nature in which he was found he will not be available for adoption until 2/1/24. More details can be given by reaching out to the shelter.

Truffle, a 1-year-old mixed-breed male, was brought into the shelter as a stray. We are currently attempting to locate his owner. If Truffle remains unclaimed, he will be available for adoption on 1/27/25. We are still getting to know this sweet boy, so stay tuned for further updates on him!

If you know who this boy belongs to, please reach out to us so we can help him get home! If you’re interested in giving him a forever home in the case his owner does not come forward, please contact us via the information below.

Today’s goes out to Max, one of the most adorable, happy-go-lucky, and playful pup you'll ever meet!

Max is a friendly, outgoing mixed breed boy, and he's about 1-2 years old. Max has so much love to give! All he wants to is to play out his energy, but be sure to have plenty of belly rubs and treats on hand - Max has a big heart and an even bigger love for snacks!

Max has now been out in play groups, and has done wonderfully with other playful pups! He would do well with another canine sibling his size, especially to play out his energy and keep his mind occupied!

He's very people-oriented and will happily climb into your lap for some love and affection. He is now neutered, up to date on vaccines, and on prevention for fleas and ticks! Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with heartworms, but you can talk to your veterinarian about treatment options if you choose to adopt to determine the best treatment plan for you and Max alike! If you're looking for a fun-loving and playful new companion, look no further than Max!
