Zeke Fund Animal Rescue

WHO WE ARE:

We are a small group of volunteers committed to changing the plight of the dogs Brookshire from one of certain death to giving every homeless dog a chance for adoption. As of Feb 2007 we have not had to bear any being euthanized but our situation is critical. Find us on petfinder.com

In August 2004 a local stray was hit by a car. The dog was picked up by animal control and put in an uncovered, stretch metal cage in 100 degree heat for four days. On the fifth day an animal advocate who heard of the animals plight took possession of him and took him to the vet. The dog, now named Zeke, had injuries which included a broken back, pelvis, and two legs. There was no choice but to humanely euthanize Zeke. On this day the Zeke Fund came into being with the promise - Never Again!
