Festooning is a fascinating behavior observed in bees, where they intertwine their legs to create a chain or curtain-like structure within the hive. This unique behavior is believed to assist bees in measuring distances within the hive. A group of bees engaged in festooning is known as a "festoon", showcasing their remarkable cooperation and coordination within the hive.
Pollen is going out just as fast as it's coming in.
I am incredibly thankful to Xtreme Jump in Early, TX for their patience and understanding while we were out of state. Despite having faster options, they chose to support our goal of saving the bees. Thanks to them, these girls are now happily settled in their new home.
"Too often man handles life as he does the bad weather. He whiles away the time as he waits for it to stop." Keep moving through your storm.
The greatest sign of success for a teacher...is to be able to say, "The children are now working as if I did not exist."
"Just a friendly reminder that around here, suites are optional."
"That's what I call teamwork."
When 30 hive bodies just weren't enough, the team gathered tonight. Grateful for the rain and all the amazing people in our lives.

When we remove or relocate a beehive, we use rubber bands to gently hold the honeycomb in place until the bees can secure it with wax to the wooden frames. This process takes a lot of energy and time for both the bee and beekeeper. However, once complete, the bees no longer need the rubber bands, and they become waste. There is no place for waste in the hive, so the rubber bands must be removed one by one. This is a fantastic sign, as it means that the bees have fully adapted to the hive and made it their home, creating what I call "Noodle bees."
🎵My beetruck brings all the girls to the yard.

Bee pollen is a powerful natural ingredient that is widely used in dietary supplements and skincare products. It has been proven effective in treating a variety of health problems, including alcoholism, asthma, allergies, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), enlarged prostate, and stomach problems. Moreover, it is an excellent tonic for boosting energy levels. You can also find it in baby skincare products, which help soothe diaper rash and eczema. If you want to improve your overall health and well-being, local bee pollen is definitely worth considering.

All thing are difficult before they are easy.
Did you know that worker bees are some of the most fascinating creatures out there? They usually start collecting pollen and nectar at 21 days old and live for about 38 days total. It's amazing to think that they can travel up to 500 miles in their lifetime of flight, which is only about 17 days! That's a daily average of over 30 miles! However, flying for such long distances can wear them down. But in the winter months, they get a well-deserved break and can live for over 200 days. These little bees are truly impressive!
BEEnKeeping it 💯 since day one.

Oh, how delightful it is to witness the buzz and bustle inside a beehive! Each and every bee has her own important role to play. Just take a look - some bees are busy creating sweet honey while their companions on the same frame are working hard to make room for the industrious worker bees by removing a drone. It's truly fascinating to watch these amazing creatures in action. I could spend hours observing them and their intricate hive activities! Second video is in the comments below 👇
