today is the old man's birthday! he is now six years old - i got him about 5.5 years ago from kayla campbell, and it's been a fantastic ride he has taken me on so far... he's accumulated 39 (show) legs and is a registered grand champion who is now enjoying retirement! happy happy birthday to my precious buck, rgc hare house's destination!! 💕🎉🎶🎂🐰💕

if you have a rabbit in the barn at the fair, it has been approved by the steering committee for you to put bedding in your rabbit's cage and/or wrap a blanket around it the next two nights!

News from the rabbit superintendent: (Brown County Youth Fair)

It's show time! Please be in the barn with your bunny Wednesday, January 10th between 7:00am and 10:00a.m. Please have patience - it will be a long day.

Remember to bring your feed dish and water bottle (bottle), feed and LOCK for your cage(s) doors. Lock is MANDATORY! A collared shirt is required in the show ring.

Also, with so many rabbits, it would help you to mark your cage(s) with colored ribbon or whatever you can recognize easily.

You MUST check your rabbit in through my brother, Bobby. He will check to make sure your bunny is not sick or have ear mites, then he will put a cage number in your rabbit's ear. This is your show number. You will be asked your cage number when you enter the ring.

RABBITS CANNOT BE REMOVED FROM THE BARN BEFORE BEING CHECKED OUT BY ME.

If you need FEED, please let me know by MONDAY AFTERNOON.

i had a really fun time this weekend at the trba fall show in killeen! got to visit with KayDee L. Openshaw Cullis a lot - it was fun competition! also got three plush lops to bring home from Cheyenne Chisholm-Kindleburg - she is precious and answered all my questions - i'm gonna turn the youngest plush lop into a therapy rabbit and take him to nursing homes and stuff...

as for a sad but timely announcement: this was destination's last show... (edited to add that he will be at the killeen mid-text rba show in jan 2024!) he will turn 6 in february and is just gonna hang out from now on and not go to any more shows. he knocked a nail off while we were waiting for bis competition this afternoon, so if he feels that strongly about competing, then he won't do it anymore... des is retiring with 39 legs, including a bis win!

OH YAY!! rgc hare house's destination (thanks Kayla Campbell for such a great buck) got a leg for his bog win in show a!! that's officially leg #33!! 💕🎉🐰

i really, really enjoyed this weekend at the Mid-Tex Fall Festival Show 2023! i only brought three rabbits, and they each placed first in every show under four different judges, winning bosv or higher! it was p**t's fist show (thank you KayDee Cullis for her!), and she won bosg in all four shows at 5.5 months old - i hope she does just as well in the future! my homegrown, bunny foo foo's safari had no competition as she was the only rew doe in the show, but i'm awfully proud of her!

i am grateful to the midtex members for all their hard work as well as to our judges - it was a great show, and although i missed my running buddy JoAnn, her oldest daughter lizzy and i had a great time! i'm super proud of lizzy for winning bob in every show that she entered her tans in - all three of them! she's taking home some super neat prizes for her wins! i also enjoyed making new friends and seeing my old friends this weekend - hope to see y'all at glen rose for the Blackland Prairie RBA Fall Show next month!

happy (almost) fall y'all! i'm soooo ready for cooler weather! 💕🐰💕 this will be my show lineup at the mid-tex fall show in belton as well as at the lsndsc breakfast bash - rgc hare house's destination is blowing his coat in true fall show season fashion - nothing i can do but laugh... 😂 (thanks to Kayla Campbell for such a great little buck - he has 32 legs and my heart... 💕🐰💕)

got my show report in yesterday for the tndrc show last month... gc hare house's destination (thanks for him, kayla campbell at The Hare House!) picked up leg #32, and he and his daughter, bunny foo foo's safari (homegrown doe out of gc hare house's destination and hare house's rewlette - thanks DawnLee Perkins Walton and kayla campbell), received rosettes for best of group and best opposite of group! they weren't interested in posing last night, but here they are... 💕🐰
