"My older sister remembers our mother making these cookies well into the early 1950s. Unfortunately, I was too young at the time to really remember. But when we were going through my mother’s many recipe boxes, we finally recovered this recipe! So happy to remember our mother by baking these up again, it was a truly special cookie!"

"I held off on this recipe for a bit because I was worried it would be too rich for my family. I was so wrong! The first word out of my husband's mouth was 'WOW' and my 3 little food critics finished their plates in near silence which NEVER happens. Winner, winner chicken dinner!"
