Between ACRA and our work at the shelter we have seen an overwhelming number of people rehoming their dogs. Many times the main reason is that they do not have the time to devote to the dog. This is a PSA to anyone looking to rehome their dog for this reason…

🐾Hi there!🐾 Let me introduce myself! My foster momma named me Albie (short for Albert). She said she named me that because of the day she got me from the shelter. I had a bit of a crazy hairdo, and it reminded her of Albert Einstein. She also said I kinda earned my name because I’m pretty smart! She says that she talks to me in human sentences and she swears I understand every word 🤷🏼‍♀️. I don’t know about all the words, but I definitely understand some.
I’ll tell you what I do know!
🐶I am an approximately 6 month old, 9.5 pound poodle mix. I’m possibly mixed with cocker spaniel or s**z tzu, we aren’t really certain. We do know that I am 100% adorable.
🏠I’m looking for a home that will love me! I was rescued from the local shelter where I was surrendered after no one could take care of me. My foster mom has three other dogs and two cats, and I don’t mind them one bit. So if you’re looking for someone to fit in, I can do that! But if you want just me, I can do that too!
😍I really just like being around my foster parents, wherever they are (except for outside, it is way too cold for me out there right now). 🥶
I do follow their every step when I am outside with them, but I much prefer being on their laps, or snuggling in bed, or laying at their feet. I am working on my potty training, but so far it’s tough because of that darn cold weather. Maybe I’ll like it better when it’s warmer and I’ll have no issues then.☀️
💇‍♂️💇🏻‍♀️My foster momma gave me a bath and an amateur haircut when she brought me home. The warm water and gentle touch felt so nice, I fell asleep right in the tub while I was getting my haircut. She says I’ll need regular grooming in the future for whoever falls in love with me. Good thing I don’t mind!
🐾I don’t love my crate, even if it’s padded with blankets. But mom and dad put me in there when they leave the house and I behave really well.
💜🐶🧡If you promise to keep me forever and let me love you, I promise I will do just that, love you, as much as you want, I swear it!💜🐶🧡

Update - Pending rehoming
😢Sometimes in rescue you have dogs that find their way back to you in a strange way. 🐾Roxxie is one of those dogs. She is a 1.5 year old Rottweiler that is just as sweet as pie🥧. We originally met her during one of our many volunteer Saturdays at the city shelter a few months ago. ⏩Fast forward to today when we were contacted about a Rottweiler in need. Yep… you guessed it, it’s Roxxie.
🐾💜Roxxie is being rehomed due to no fault of her own. Roxxie is the jack of all trades when it comes to all things dog: she’s good with other dogs🐶, kids 🧒👦, and cats🐈 ! We do believe she had a litter of pups prior to coming to the shelter but those days are behind her and she just needs a family to call her own.

Please keep an eye out for Kenji! He does not know his name yet as he was just adopted. He got loose from his harness on a walk with his family. DO NOT CHASE!! He is skittish and he will run. Please only report sightings to the numbers on the flyer.

As ACRA heads into our 17th year rescuing, and I’ve moved out of state, Crystal has agreed to officially become Pres. She's like a daughter to me and has been my right arm for many years. Suzanne is now our VP and I am so very proud of both these amazing women who are dedicated rescuers. Thank you to all our adopters and many fosters as ACRA continues to "Save God's Lost Dogs, One at a Time"

👀Looking👀 for the cutest cuddle buddy under 10 pounds? 🐾Brody is your little man!🐾 This dapper guy is 6 months old is full of puppy love, kisses😘, and the occasional zoomies. We believe he is a dachshund, but can not be certain, only DNA 🧬 would tell that. Brody has been working hard on learning all the things he needs to know to be the best boy. He knows some basic commands and is 95% housebroken. 🧡As you have noticed, Brody only has one eye.💜 It does not stop 🛑 him whatsoever! He was born with a defect in one eye and never had sight in it. It was determined that it would be best for him to have it removed. Brody has been a trooper and is now ready to find his forever. He needs a home 🏠 with a fully fenced yard, he prefers dogs 🐶 that are his size, and is looking for someone that is committed to continuing his training so her can perfect his best boy skills.
