leaving them alone near lit candles—a potential fire hazard. Be cautious with
decorative corn and fake leaves, too; if ingested, they could lead to tummy
troubles. Prioritize pet safety this holiday season!

Our CVT, Lumi, with her glamorous ears! She’s holding our patient from Halloween, Rocco. Rocco decided that Halloween night was a great time to eat mushrooms he found in his backyard. We got him in and tried to get those mushrooms up! He still needed overnight care to be evaluated, so we sent him to a local emergency room for the night. He was feeling better the next day! # petmedicurgentcare

Four common outdoor dangers for our pets during autumn are wild mushrooms,
acorns, compost/mulch piles, and ticks. Keep your pet safe by checking for these
hazards before letting them outdoors and keeping them up-to-date on their tick
preventatives!
In autumn, animals like raccoons, snakes, and skunks become more active due to
increased feeding and hibernation preparations. If pets encounter these wildlife
creatures, they risk injuries and disease transmission. Always stay alert to your
surroundings for your pet's safety! 🍁
