🌟🌟REUNITED!!!🌟🌟
Hazel is home! Two days ago we got our first sighting with a report she was seen on the Quinnipiac, then Finch and running towards Sindall. Then nothing again until last night with a report she was seen on Finch in a driveway. When the homeowner tried to sneak out his door to close a gate to trap her in a fenced area, she heard the door and bolted again. Hazel again was seen coming from a farm on Finch and headed going towards a field where there was a horse. From the calls we now had more less of an area of interest. These sightings all came in about 1 hour before the fireworks which added concern on whether she would stay in the area or not. We set up a feeding station at the house where she visited. Earlier CTDGRV Carol also set up a scent cone at the family’s house hoping it might help draw the dog home. At 2:53 AM she appeared on our cameras at the house! The family was alerted that Hazel was in their backyard. CTDGRV Carol instructed the family to let their dog bonded to Hazel out into the yard. There was the biggest reunion ever! Oh yes, there will be pictures and a video in comments. It was the best news to get early this morning! Welcome home Hazel. From the owner: I CANNOT express my happiness my gratitude and thankfulness.

There were so many wonderful and concerned community members. Thank you for those who shared, called in sighting, allowed us on your property. Thank you the family that previously fostered Helen and were out there everyday, Sarina, Gail who trailered her horse, Maeve who help with the other dogs and helped Ashley from some mud, Kristen and people she recruited to come hike trails and woods when we were concerned she was stuck on the retractable, Janice whom we helped once to find her dog and she paid it forward, followers from Cheshire that help us in Cheshire Steve and his dad James, the neighbors who searched woods for hours out of concern she was stuck somewhere and CTDGRV lead Carol, Lisa, LInda and John. Such an overwhelming response and so many caring people. Thank you everyone! Helen is going to have a fantastic life!
