Yesterday after breaking down the TNR tables. We were asked to take in a senior lady from the industrial area of Burnet. Blindly, she miraculously found her way to a business with the right people. They gave her sanctuary and care in an office, but knew she needed a little bit more than they could give her. She was in rough shape. Nearly blind and starving.
They called the ACO to check for a chip and none was found. She is so very calm, patient, with a strong will to fight.
We would love to find her owners and get her back home. Until then we will get her some much needed help. If no one comes to claim her. We would love to have a foster come forward with a quiet place for her to decompress.
She is now safe with us. Will be taken to Hope Animal Clinic on Monday to see what the full extent of her condition is.
We want to give her a chance to be healthy and happy in a safe environment again.

Last night after moving her into a bigger, temporary holding trap and put a box and fresh paper down. She thanked us with this show and dance.
Silvia has been such a wonderful guest with us. Very mellow and sweet. She's now patiently waiting for her new family to come and bring her home =-))
Almost at max capacity before the cold front arrives. Another friendly lost cat. This time up at work in Spicewood. She's been seen a few times. Came right up to me and I pointed out the feeding station. Hungry girl. Brought her home to be out of the cold and away from the dangerous roads.
Check out this gorgeous sweetie pie. Taffy is unique juvenile female we pulled from a colony in the Deer Springs neighborhood while doing TNR for our community and neighbors. She stood out as a silly "goof ball" which caught our attention and her first name.
She is currently roaming freely in our cat room wanting to have a big home of her own. She loves attention and being snuggled with. Lots of energy in an exotic coat. Look at those spots above her eyes. Stunning! Mix of striped tabby and calico.

Unfortunately, he did not make it over the night. He knew where to go to be seen and be helped. It simply wasn't enough time to do so. He is now resting under one of our trees in the yard.
Even on Christmas Day cats need us. This black cat was laying near a colvert this morning as we were getting ready to leave for a family gathering. He was too weak to run too far before giving up. Transported him to the cat room and set him up in a FatCat trap with food and water. He's in pretty rough shape and smelling as so.
We will get him comfortable and see if we can get him stabilized and off to Hope Animal Clinic ASAP.
