I JUST NEED TO TALK THINGS OUT A LITTLE

I’m in fear of losing my rescue and my mind
It’s been such a long and exhausting journey since the hurricane but we’re getting there, slowly. I wouldn’t have made it this far without YOU. Your donations, support, well wishes and prayers are all that’s keeping us afloat. I’m going to have to rely on you again sooner than later. FEMA was here and did their assessment and it is their conclusion that my home/rv is unlivable (I kinda thought that) BUT they are not going to award me a “FEMA Trailer”, instead they have sent me $794.64 for repairs! WHAT!? My onboard generator was destroyed, my propane tank and lines were damaged to the point it’s unsafe to use, there is mold growing up the bedroom wall, my water pump was damaged and so now it turns on whenever it wants to so I can’t even keep fresh water on board because it’s flooding everywhere. Plus so much more.
Don’t get me started on the loss of my shop at the flea market. Which isn’t covered by any insurance or anything because it’s categorized as “Yard Sale” Winter is just around the corner and this place (the little camper that was donated) is no where big enough to house the animals in my care much less my stuff and personal pets. So I’m going to put out a plea for help for the bigger items needed. It’s for the things that took me years to save up for, working my butt off for, pinching every penny and going without to make my dream of devoting my life to helping animals and my community.

As a rule I NEVER adopt out Black, Black and White or Orange cats in the month of October. Along with “Present Pets” in December or February without a month foster first. Pets are not gifts, surprises, whims or bandaids. They are lifelong commitments. Good, Bad or Indifferent.

Black cats are NOT evil.
But sometimes humans ARE.
KEEP ALL CATS SAFE ON HALLOWEEN!
