Grace recently had her 3 Year Anniversary with us🎉

She is one of our trainers🧠

Some of her favorite things about working at Leashes & Leads include: Doing holiday themed crafts with the dogs and taking field trips with the training pups🐶

Our Cali girl turned 4️⃣ yesterday!

She comes for Playcare every Tuesday and Thursday📆

Her hobbies include fetch and fetch. We have to put her in a timeout sometimes to take a break because she won’t stop barking at us to throw the ball😂

She also loves to play, and she can be very goofy when she does🤪

💙ADOPTED 12/18💙

Vinny is back with us… again, after only a week. Apparently Vinny started marking in the house and that was something they didn’t want to work on with him even though he was perfect otherwise. He never had accidents in his kennel while he was here. Vinny does not do well here. It is stressful for him in this environment. At this point, even a foster home would be beneficial for him. He can’t handle another heartbreak. He is going to need time to adjust. He needs someone that won’t give up on him. He loves kids. He has lived with a female Doberman before, but we think him being the only dog would be best. He is not fond of the vet or bath time, so he will need patience and medication for those events. There has to be someone out there with Rottweiler experience that has no dogs and is willing to put the work in during the adjusting period. He is a good boy that has been failed numerous times. He just needs someone to give him a chance. Vinny’s next home needs to be his forever one.

A new nonprofit organization in Byron is helping families in difficult situations take care of their pets.

Update on our trapped kittens! They have all found homes where they will be fixed and given vaccines. We have to wait until after the holidays to trap who we think is mama as our cat room will be full. The shed she goes in is heated though and we are continuing to feed her (and a opossum) everyday😺

We want to give a special shout out to Dakota, Paetyn, Jenna & Amber who have been working hard on catching the stray cats we have up in one of our sheds. Checking the camera, feeding, setting the traps… it all paid off! The 3 kittens were trapped and are now being fostered by Paetyn. Now, we just need to trap who is hopefully mom🐱

Finley turns NINE tomorrow🥳

He comes for Playcare Monday-Friday. Though we don’t take no playgroup dogs for Playcare, Finley was already grandfathered in. He spends his days in the 5th yard. Though he is by himself, he still gets to see all of us through the fence and plays with the toys in his yard. On Tuesdays and Thursdays his dad signs him up for excursions, which he loves!🥰
