Two fantastic OTTBs in Cabot, AR

Even Higher - 2017 16.0 hand gelding. As sweet as they come on the ground! Has been ridden and jumped by a junior. Ammy friendly, not spooky, easy keeper. I really can’t say enough good things about this dude! He’s built solid and currently barefoot. Ton of video available. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLxFf2UXyo5QEfTQuy6aswgPTZW65PGm_m&si=L62VCcHVYiF2tUjn

Twick or Tweat - 2020 16.1 hand mare. Not β€œmareish” at all. Sweet to be around and good with other horses. This mare gives you a lovely feeling under saddle. She’s started over fences and is a cute jumper, but she could absolutely be a straight dressage horse. Beautiful trot and very comfortable, balanced canter. Good feet and clean legs!!! https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLxFf2UXyo5QH-9MJeroduXFDmWfm47DGC&si=dQI-g3uA5Bh-PsPp

Precious Cisco really wants to start the new year with his new family!

16 hand, 7 year old, OTTB, gelding located in Cabot AR

JC name Even Higher

Cisco just keeps getting nicer and nicer. Cute on the flat and he’s loving learning to jump. I’ve had some juniors on him and he is very sweet with them and forgiving of mistakes. This guy will make a brave eventer or fox hunter, but I think he would also make a great thoroughbred jumper! Please PM me for additional information

πŸŽ„ Happy Holidays from Bradley Equestrian πŸŽ„

I truly feel grateful for this program and all of our horse and people daily! But, the holidays are a great time to slow down and reflect. I’m taking a few days off to rest and spend time with Safia and Baig. πŸ’œ I hope you all get to enjoy these next few days in whatever way feels right to you. Hug and kiss your ponies 😘

How do you get to ride lots of different horses?

Good question.

1. Be born mega rich, buy em and ride em.
2. Be a barn rat. Ride anything that won`t hurt you too badly.
3. Never say "not today, thanks" if you are offered a ride on any horse. Your key word is "yes", followed by "thank you."
4.Work to become good enough so that people want you to ride their horses.
5. Like the guys in Top Gun, when they walked into the bar full of young women "YES! A target rich environment!" Hang where there are lots of horses, not where there aren`t any.
6.Learn the Yiddish expression, "No for an answer I already got." Ask if you can ride extra horses. Maybe they say no. You`re no worse off than if you hadn`t asked.
7. Don`t be a lazy toad. If your barn owner offers to trade extra riding for weekend stall cleaning, be the kid who says "yes", and let your worthless friends sleep in and miss out.
8.Get a horse job, and be the eager beaver. Many horse owners are not truly horse riders, and they are often looking for a way to weasel out of riding today. Be there to pick up the ride.
9. Think of other ways.

(When Russ Fawcett (directly behind me) asked if I wanted to ride Iron Cloud out in Jackson, Wyoming, I said "yes please", and "thank you.")

πŸ— Tis the season for reflection and gratitude πŸ—

I’m most grateful for my family and all of the extraordinary people that I am surrounded by on a daily basis! I truly couldn’t ask for a better support system and team.

I’m also grateful for how my program has grown over the past year. I have nice horses, many educational opportunities, and my riding future is looking more exciting than it has in a long time!

What are you most grateful for this year?!

Funny!!

✨✨ It’s clinic season!! ✨✨

With the show seasoning being mostly wrapped up, we are in full swing education mode!

Anyone that knows me knows I am pretty against chronic clinicing. I do think there is such thing as too much information from too many different people and that overload of information can lead to chaos in your riding.

HOWEVER, clinicing with people that fit into your program is very important. Here are some benefits of attending clinics with GOOD clinicians (not all clinicians are made equal):

πŸ’œ Hearing new information
πŸ’œ Hearing the same information you hear from your instructor, but in a different way
πŸ’œ Confirming a track that you are already on with your horse
πŸ’œ Getting your horse off property
πŸ’œ Being able to work on a particular issue in a low stress environment
πŸ’œ Learning new exercises that can benefit your horse or just add to your toolbox
πŸ’œ Learning about different teaching styles
πŸ’œ Auditing other riders to learn how different techniques work for different horse/rider pairs

What would you add to this list?!

Reflecting on my clinic this weekend, I benefited by learning more ways to effectively and SOFTLY help my horses to relax and feel more confident in the connection.

Next up is this weekend! πŸ’œ

Cisco

New video below!! Flat video available as well. We really need him sold by the end of the month, so he is very reasonably priced! Multiple horses to try in one location!!

β€œEven Higher” 7 year old OTTB. 15.3 hand gelding. This guy has been thoughtfully restarted and is ready for his next career! Sound, quiet horse. Very sweet to be around and comfortable to ride.

He’s doing small courses and getting stronger every ride! Quiet enough to make a cute TB Hunter and look at those knees!! He has been trail ridden. Would make a super cute fox hunter or eventer too! Sn**ch this guy up before he really starts jumping/showing! He’s ready to go in any direction!

Madeline Says Merci
16.1 hand, 16 year old, Canadian Warmblood Mare

This mare is the definition of a hunter, packer queen! Super reliable horse that comes out the same every day. Don’t let her age fool you, she has PLENTY left to give. I’m so sad that I don’t have anyone for her in my barn right now because she is the type of horse that you really want to keep around. She’s the perfect mix between a push ride and forward ride. She gives her riders confidence and makes them feel fancy!

Maddie has shown in the hunters her whole life with an adult amateur or a junior. Competed extensively in the rated hunters in Canada and has been doing schooling shows with a junior for the past couple of years. She would be happy to go back to the rated ring. She makes the step easily and has a lovely change. The judges LOVE her and she always places well.

Low maintenance, easy keeper, no quirks, not β€œmarish”. This mare is truly golden. Located in Cabot, AR and ready for her new home!
