This Amazon find was a huge score for us! My pups love puzzles for mental enrichment, but this doubles as a nail file! The less stress I can put them through for minor tasks the better.

No pet *enjoys* a nail trim. Why not make it fun?🤩

Let's take a minute to talk about littermate syndrome. This is when two or more puppies, who are typically littermates (however, it can be from different litters who are approximately the same age) are put in a home together. When this is done, there is an unhealthy attachment created between the puppies.

Signs of littermate syndrome that an owner can look out for include the inability to bond with humans, becoming extremely nervous or anxious in new environments, and difficulty to train.

Littermate syndrome can be prevented by not adopting or buying two puppies at the same time. If purchasing from a breeder, those that are reputable will not sell two or more puppies to a family.

In the case you have brought home littermates, take time to ensure this syndrome is not developed. Some helpful tips include the following:

-Create individual spaces for each puppy from sleeping arrangements, play pens, separate time in the yard.
-Individual outings including walks and training session. This allows for one to be home and experience being alone without experiencing distress.

DYK? Lasers aren't toys meant for dogs. 😬 Even with cats, owners should be thoughtful & always end a laser game on a physical object that can be physically caught to limit potential frustration. Dogs on the other hand can suffer much different and severe consequences.
