Hello Everyone…We hope you're staying warm and safe! At Taylor's Quack Pack Waterfowl Rescue, we're facing freezing temperatures 🥶 and expect worsening conditions later today, including snow and ice. However, temperatures will temporarily rise above freezing, giving us a glimmer of hope. Our animals are thriving, and their food intake has increased significantly, by approximately 100 pounds per week, mainly corn and scratch. Can you help us cover their care and feeding costs? Typically, we consume 300-350 pounds of feed weekly, and the additional expenses are considerable. The costs are so high that I'm considering closing the rescue, but with your support, we can keep going. If you'd like to donate towards their feed and grain, we'd be forever grateful. Hello everyone, I hope you are preparing for the extremely cold weather forecasted for tomorrow evening. My area is expected to experience temperatures of 10 degrees tomorrow night, which is unusually cold for Texas. The potential impact on our electric grid is a concern.
I am seeking assistance with obtaining feed, corn, shavings, and hay. Any support would be greatly appreciated. Recent unexpected expenses have created a challenge, and I would appreciate any help in keeping my animals warm and comfortable during this cold snap. Thank you, and God bless. Today, I took in four new animals. They are sweet and young, probably under or just over a year old. A man found them on his property, where they had been dumped. Sadly, coyotes got to some of the others. The new intakes are a bit wary of me, which is to be expected, but they appear to be settling in well…

Good morning everyone… As the colder weather sets in, our beloved birds are eating more to stay warm. I’m now going through 50-100 pounds more feed a week than I do during the warmer months. Good evening everyone. As Christmas approaches and the weather starts to get colder, especially at night, the birds require more food to maintain their warmth. We would greatly appreciate donations of feed and grain or sponsorships for one or more birds on a monthly basis. Operating a rescue center is challenging and with the increasing cost of feed, it is becoming harder to keep our doors open. We are in need of monthly donors. Never feed Ducks 🦆 and Geese 🪿 Just Bread…A little bit is ok but don’t make that the only thing you feed them…have anymore questions..

Feeding wild ducks isn’t usually a good idea. Even when the food is healthy, over-feeding tends to make ducks become dependent and can cause them to over-populate bodies of water. This leads to the overgrowth of algae and the mass death of fish, and can sometimes cause ducks and geese to become aggressive toward humans.

However, if you’re going to feed ducks anyway, please feed them healthy foods. Bread causes severe gas, diarrhea, liver disease, and bone deformities. Make sure you don’t accidentally cause more harm than good! 🦆
