Introducing Java, our adorable Pet of the Week! 🐶🤍

Java is a sweet 9-year-old black Labrador Retriever mix with a heart full of love. Every time he visits the clinic, he brightens up our day with his sweet demeanor and wagging tail.

Recently, Java underwent surgery to remove a mass from his back left leg. We’re thrilled to report that he is recovering wonderfully and is back to enjoying his favorite activities! Everyone at the clinic has fallen in love with his amazing personality and big smiles.

Summer is here, and while we all love soaking up the sun, it’s important to remember that our furry friends can be more sensitive to the heat. Here are some tips to keep your dog cool and safe during the hot months:

1. Hydration is Key: Always ensure your dog has access to fresh, clean water. Consider adding ice cubes to their water bowl to keep it extra cool.

2. Avoid Midday Walks: Walk your dog early in the morning or later in the evening when the temperatures are cooler. Hot pavement can burn their paws, so always check the ground with your hand before heading out.

3. Shade and Shelter: Provide plenty of shade for your dog if they’re spending time outside. A shaded area or an umbrella can make a big difference.
