We had a great show today!

Melissa and shadow had thier best ridden warmups and show ring tests to date making progress each show with such great positive attitude!
Lily and commanche also had great warmups and an early exit in thier first test but had a great redemption in her 2nd test I am very proud of her composure, determination and riding skill today!

Paladin and I had some fun in his first level debut in traditional dressage with some good scores considering I havnt had much time to dedicate to ride lately.

This show was a little bittersweet as this was the last one under the GEC name. Ive proudly represented the GEC logo for the last 13 yrs at TSDS, USDF, NLEA, and NTHJ shows and will continue to support our clubs. Definitely some mixed emotions tonight, but I know a name is just a name, and I'm not stopping ! Much more to come on our new adventures for my clients staying with me during our move!

03/24/2024

Now that I've informed current clients, students and workers, I'll let everyone know that after 13 wonderful years, GEC is closing on June 1st. I remember first walking in this barn and felt so lucky to have this great opportunity and a place to call home. Never did I imagine I would have filled this barn , full of love and laughter over the years, watched kids grow into adults with families of thier own. Watch horses grow up, riders and horses become fantastic teams and go on to do great things. Me to get my bronze and silver medal. Watch my daughter grow to love horses as I do. Meet some great friends whom I call family. Some have gone and some have stayed. I am grateful to u all for the opportunities given to me, and the trust you've had in me to care for you and your horses over the years.

When I was a kid I would draw a barn that was white and green. Who would've thought that's where I would call home for so long. I knew thus day would come. I just didnt know when. My barn owner is gearing towards retirement and wanting to reduce down his assets and responsibilities so unfortunately that means we will close. But this is not the end for me!

I don't plan to stop teaching and training, I will just be rebranding as Gleiser Dressage and will be available to come teach at other farms and am working on finding a place to teach and keep some training horses , as well as have haul in students...so stay tuned and please reach out if u are interested in me coming in for clinics!

I will also be selling some of my equipment, jumps, trailer, tack, etc that I don't think I will need going forward since I won't be boarding. Stay tuned for future posts on sale items or if u are looking for anything in particular I might have it!

We had a great kick off at our first TSDS dressage show of the year!

Melissa and Shadow , Lily and Jack, and Carla and Paladin all had fantastic rides that I'm very proud of! They all showed 1st level, with Carla doing Western dressage 1st level.
Weve worked hard over winter and it paid off with great scores in the mid upper 60s and positive judges comments. Couldn't have asked for better weather too! 😎 πŸ™Œ

A HUGE congratulations to our GEC member, Loren Sunsin in her first IEA competition of the season WIN in 2ft over fences AND the flat!!

For those who aren't familiar with IEA, middle school and high school riders compete on a team as individuals and get chosen for them a horse they are most likely not familiar with and they have to compete over fences and flat against other riders in thier age and fence height group. This models after college riding teams and allows riders without a horse to compete as well. But this absolutely highlights rider equitation, confidence and skill to perform on an unfamiliar horse.
So proud of Loren! And thank you to Hidden Acres for allowing Loren on thier team!

Another fantastic Tri-state Dressage Society schooling show today for our crew!

Carla and Paladin had a full move up to Western first level, scoring mid-upper 60s, with only 2 weeks to prepare those tests!

Lily and Jack rode first level test 1 for the first time with an impressive 66%! They also finished out with 2 nice training level tests

Melissa and Shadow also came out riding first Test 1 with an improvement in her score from the last show with a 60! and also showed 2 lovely training level tests.

So proud of these girls on their move up to first level! The fun really begins now! πŸ₯³πŸ₯³

I had to hone in on my super trainer skills by calling tests AND videoing at the same time lol. πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺπŸ¦Έβ€β™€οΈ πŸ“£ πŸŽ₯

What a fantastic K9 show!

So proud of these ladies this weekend and absolutely loved the love and support they have for each other as teammates. They blew me away with their progress and horsemanship.

Lily and Jack continued to improve with 3 lovely training level tests! On to 1st level in 2 weeks!

Loren and blue Jay had 3 stellar 2'6-2'9 equitation rounds and 3 jumper 2'6 rounds winning power and speed on a pony out of 10+ riders!

Peyton and Opie continued to improve on accuracy and performance on her move up to training level with scores in the 60s!

Carla and paladin had 3 beautiful rides including her move up to Western 1st level!

Lisa and claude joined us after not showing in a few years and rode 2 beautiful and powerful 2nd level tests! Let's get that bronze!

Melissa and shadow also showed some great riding and had 3 pretty training tests and also a move up to first test 1 and made me proud!

We had a great NTHJC show at Texas rose this weekend. Both riders and horses faced some challenges this weekend and showed tremendous horsemanship and tenacity !

In large tough classes of 10 Hannah and Sassy (2'3) and Loren and Blue Jay (2'6) both scored a 2nd in over fences as well as placing in the ribbons in thier classes, also with a callback for Loren in the Eq. medal placing in the top 4!

Bittersweet weekend for Hannah as this was her last show before going off to college, and im very proud of that team and how far theyve come.. Shows won't be the same without you!

We had a good day at Tri-state Dressage Society show today. Couldn't ask for better weather, and good feedback from the judge for things to improve on for next time for Carla and Paladin and Lily and Jack!
They were the only competitors in thier division today so the good thing about dressage is you really compete against yourself, try to improve from last time, and strive to meet your personal goals is what matters. Some personal goals were met today!

GEC had a fabulous weekend at Holly Hill for the tri state dressage schooling show!

Lily and Jack scored a new personal best at training level with a well earned 63 and winning grand champion!

Wendy and Bentley had two well ridden first level tests scoring upper 60s, getting ready to move up to 2nd level!

Peyton and Opie were on the waiting list to show, so we decided to school over fences, jumping her 1st vertical, gymnastic line, and gate! She had a blast.

Loren S. brought along Blue Jay for thier first outing as a team to school in the jumper ring. They rode great as a team , and got to jump s Liverpool. Well on thier way to being ready for the fall shows!

Hannah also brought Sassy along to jump school since our last few hunter shows have canceled. They had fun jumping the big stone wall!

Madalyn and Treasure also had a fun learning experience in the jump ring, jumping some new verticals, and tackling the huge puddles, which will help get them ready for the rainy fall weather shows.

Lauren C was also on the waiting list to show, and brought Quixote along for his first dressage show experience. They had an amazing school in the small ring which was full of water. Such a cool horse she has he was all game. They are pumped for the next show!

What a great team we have, everyone is working so hard towards thier individual goals. I couldn't be more proud! πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯³πŸ₯³

Lily and Jack- training level junior Champs
Peyton and Opie- intro junior Champs
Rebecca and Benji training level AA Champs
