I have now fulfilled my vision with this sculpt of my interpretation of a Maori Mokomokai head.
The "ta moko" face "tattoos" is inspired by the originals, but they are far from correct. Some of the patterns are the same as original, some aren't, I have made it like felt like, and from what found aesthetically pleasing.

I hope you like this one, so leave a comment if you feel like it.
I'm pretty satisfied my self with the outcome.

Tonights speciel thing, is a human skull excavated in one of the most northern parts of Denmark called Vendsyssel in the 1960's.

The area is now referred to as Vester Hassing, but the original settlement, church and cemetery was decommissioned as far back as year 1200.

It's very interesting glaring at this skull, it was once part of a woman my age (40) around 820 years ago.

The skull was handed to me in a plastic bag, fragmented and fragile, but was skillfully mounted with handmade brass hardware by my very talented

I'm proud of what was able to accomplish.

Peppers hair was extremely matted, with several hours of carefully washing and detangling, and finishing off with a light coconut oil spray, her hair is MUCH more healthy and clean.

This bizarre and ornate human skull was decorated in the style of the Asmat peoples of New Guinea! While they are famous for their headhunting, this particular item is not meant to depict a trophy skull. It is a moderb artistic rendition of an "Ancestor Skul" the skull of a deceased relative, exhumed in an effort to strengthen their spiritual connection and call forth spiritual gidance and protection. This item is a composite ofa real Indonesian skul and decorations crafted/collected by the Asmat but the skull itself was decorated as an art piece by Ari Flagle in the United States.

This 18th-century specimen deserves a post on my new socials. This gorgeous specimen is what's called a écorché. She is 100% real and preserved through a process of arsenic and mercury, as well as color wax injections. Her arm was originally placed in an upward in almost a comically posed waving position, which has since been placed upward since these photos, a very strange way to showcase such a preparation. There is a high chance this was the work of the famous 18th-century French anatomist Honoré Fragonard. He is now remembered primarily for his remarkable collection of écorchés in the Musée Fragonard d'Alfort.
I'm very proud and honored to care for such!
