MaeDay Rescue MaeDay Rescue is a 501c3 animal rescue organization based in Los Angeles. Her passion is animals; with each one she saves, it's as if she is saving Maggie Mae.

We are solely based in Los Angeles and are not affiliated with any other organizations. MaeDay is named after Natalie's dog, Maggie Mae, whose life was taken after a roll over accident on the freeway in 2010. Since the accident, Natalie has volunteered at local California animal shelters and with Mexican animal shelters, fostering and finding homes for hundreds of dogs and cats. She has volunteere

d at Spay/Neuter clinics and is currently planning a Mae-Day spay/neuter clinic for the fall of 2014. We have some very sad news 💔 Sweet Raven crossed the rainbow bridge. Her amazing foster mom woke up to find Raven had passed away in her sleep. We are devastated, but find peace knowing that she didn’t die alone in a shelter.

We don’t know how old she was, but likely 12-15 years old. She came to us with a uterus filled with fluid called pyrametra. This is a result of not being spayed forcing her to have a surgery as an old dog. We thought she was healing from the surgery, but with her heart condition, lung issues and tiny body she passed away peacefully on her own terms 😭 We are grateful to our vets for doing everything for her and to her foster mom

He is perfect, loving, potty trained, good with all dogs, all humans, great on leash and it’s crazy that we’ve had a scruffy guy like this so long. Madeline, this tiny little diva, is now HOME!🎉🥳 She was found on the street a few months ago …and is so lucky that & were able save her & nurse her back to health while they looked for her home or a rescue to take her on. Once we heard about her story, we wanted to help! We agreed to pay for her extensive surgery (thanks to everyone who donated to her costly vet bills!). Her Maeday foster home with & gave her lots of love and watched her come out of her shell.

We are so happy that we could get her in tip-top shape and turn her life around for the better. Now she’s happy, healthy, & thriving! She now has a forever bestie with …and we know she’s in the best hands. Have an amazing life, sweet girl!

Good morning from Miso! This tiny senior is our newest Maeday pup after her foster mom found her in South LA with mammary masses, matted, no collar, no chip and no tags. She contacted us right away, but with everything going on due to the fires, we told her to hold onto her and post her on all the lost and found sites. To be clear, where she was found is nowhere near the fires, the shelter was alerted & nobody ever claimed her. The shelter relinquished her back into our care and we are happy to welcome her into Maeday.

She is now spayed and is set to have a dental and mammary mass removal this week. She’s about 10 years old, potty trained, loves other dogs, is cuddly, calm and the sweetest girl.

Barrington is just popping up here to say that he hopes you are having a good Saturday!👋🏼🤗 This guy has healed from his neuter & is doing well in his foster home. He’s a playful, happy, and cuddly little guy …but he’s definitely still working on his potty training. He’ll need someone that is willing to work on potty training with him, but he’s a fast learner so we’re sure he’ll soon be acing it! We love this 4-5 year old poodle prince 👑…& can’t wait for him to find his perfect forever home!

Look how handsome Rudy is — we absolutely love these photos!!!😍😍😍 Rudy just started a board & train program yesterday with and it’s going great so far!

Rudy clearly had some past traumas in his life💔 …and it’s making him quite leash reactive on walks. This training is going to give him the proper tools on how to handle his stress & anxiety. Rudy is a perfectly behaved little guy inside the home, but going out into the world is still quite dramatic for him. We are committed to his development & are happy that we can provide him the training he needs so he can get one step closer to finding his forever home! We love this 5 year old / 16 lb Min Pin mix and know he will ace his training soon🤞🏼—>

Look at Fendi’s fun family!!!! Thanks to TWO time Maeday adopters Fendi now has a forever home — and she has a few little pals too! Since she loves other dogs so much, we are thrilled she now has these forever playmates!

Fendi was so shut down & skittish at the shelter …and for a while after we rescued her in November. But once we figured out that other dogs brought her out of her shell, we were so happy to make her dreams come true. Huge thanks to her fosters & for loving her and helping to usher her to her forever happy ending!

Sweet Snuggie went from having a lot of interest to zero interest 😭 He is so Snuggie (hence his name) sweet, calm and such a gentleman. Sadly, he was recently diagnosed with disc disease and he has an enlarged heart which puts him at pre-heart failure. He is starting heart meds which he will be on for life and basic pain meds and anti-inflammatorys for the disc disease. We understand that this can scare away potential adopters, but we are always open to a fostpice- which means he is a long term foster for someone who will give him love for the time he has left and we waive the adoption fee and are open to covering basic costs. Obviously if someone still wants to 100% adopt him, we would love that too! We just want the best for him and for him to have somewhere loving where he can retire.

Dear Lacy,

We can’t believe you are still up for adoption. It’s been 10 months and we refuse to give up finding you the perfect home. We know that before you found your way to us you had a difficult life. Maybe not filled with physical abuse, but neglect and most likely only living in a yard with no walks for at least 7 years. That made you protective, unfamiliar with the leash and not set up for success in a world where humans expect you to be perfect. It’s not your fault and thanks to your current foster you have come a long way. You still have your “quirks” but the right person will have patience for you and love you unconditionally.

We promise we will keep trying and keep you safe and loved until then.

Sweet sweet Raven has had a rough go of it lately. After her spay/pyrometra surgery she started coughing and want to eat. Turns out she has pneumonia and now is on so many meds & stimulants. We feel so bad for this 5lb girl who is such a fighter and is starting to perk up. Send her your healing thoughts and once she is back to her happy self we will be doing adoption meetings!

Chiffon is wondering where all her siblings went.. luckily for them they’ve been adopted, but that means this 10 week old girl needs to find her home! She needs to be in a home with another dog who loves rambunctious puppies, needs a yard and someone who is committed to training, socializing and having a full grown 60ish pound dog for their whole life.

Wake up, Argyle!☀️💛 Today is a big day!!! Not only did he have a big week - he got neutered & had a dental — but now he’s feeling better and is ready to start his new life! …Because Argyle is starting an adoption trial today and we are so happy for him! We love families that give senior dogs a second chance …and we have a great feeling about this! If it’s not a match, that’s ok too - that’s why we do trials. But are proud of Argyle regardless and are grateful we get to be part of his journey.

Good morning from Ranger (in front) and his foster friend. Ranger is such a great dog and is doing so well in his foster home. He loves their dog, their kids and is such a playful happy guy. He came to us and the shelter before us, severely emaciated- but now he is healthy and has gained weight. His blood work looked great and he is a healthy guy. He is still dealing with a slight skin issue, that will just take time to heal.

We are in love with this guy and can’t wait to see who will be his family!

Dante & Ollin are HOME! Thanks to their new family
& 💜 After this duo lost their home due to the Eaton fire their family knew that they needed a stable home with a yard while they are figuring out where they will land after losing their home. These pups got hundreds of applications and are very lucky to have so much love!

The best part is the new family is planning on having future hikes with the boys original family! 🥹 We are so thrilled to see this happy ending after so much devastation that these fires have caused.
