We are solely based in Los Angeles and are not affiliated with any other organizations. MaeDay is named after Natalie's dog, Maggie Mae, whose life was taken after a roll over accident on the freeway in 2010. Since the accident, Natalie has volunteered at local California animal shelters and with Mexican animal shelters, fostering and finding homes for hundreds of dogs and cats. She has volunteere

d at Spay/Neuter clinics and is currently planning a Mae-Day spay/neuter clinic for the fall of 2014. You may have spied👀 this scruffy guy on the Reel we posted last night ….so let’s officially welcome BATES! We gave a spooky Halloween name to this little pumpkin that we rescued from the yesterday🎃🔪 - but dont worry, he’s as sweet as can be!

Bates is about 1 year old, 14 lbs, and a bit of a shy fry. He was really scared at the shelter, but we are happy he’s out of there and can have some time to decompress. He really just wants to be held & cuddled all the time, so we already know he’s a lovebug🥰

He was just neutered yesterday, is healthy, and ready to meet YOU at our adoption event on Sunday from 2-5PM 🍻🍻🍻. Let’s find him a home!!! Today marks the 14th Anniversary of Maeday & we are grateful that we are still able to rescue dogs in need (like Bates!) 14 years later. Come celebrate with us on Sunday!!!

Give a warm Halloween Eve welcome to the new Maeday pup named Inga! We named her after the late Teri Garr’s character in Young Frankenstein and felt it was perfect for Halloween. This sweet 6lb girl who is about 10 years old was found as a stray and taken to the shelter.

Not only was she a stray, but she only has three legs!! Yep, this petite three legged girl was all alone and scared. Plus, on top of that has a mammary mass, needs a dental & needs to get spayed. We feel so lucky that she found her way to us and are so grateful to her foster parents who are past Maeday adopters, but first time Maeday fosters 👏🏽

Sylvie is meditating hard that Halloween will be the day she gets adopted 🤞🏽 Maybe if she does a trick, she’ll get a treat… as in a forever home! We are getting discouraged that she has been available this long with no interest. She’s such a lover, easy, cuddly and potty trained!

Felipe had a temp foster while his main foster was out of town and he did great! He adjusts quickly in new spaces and is a perfect houseguest! He loves other dogs, great on leash and is a happy guy. Plus, look at those ears!!!

Dr Legs is settling in and getting cozy for the night😴. We love this little guy — he is such a good & easy boy! Well hello 👋🏽 Reggie! We are loving your tongue out Tuesday and love how great you are in all situations. Your foster mom said you went on a 3 mile walk and could’ve walked more, but she also said you need to work on your potty training. 🤦🏻‍♀️ We get it, you didn’t have consistency before coming to Maeday and who knows how much you bounced around. We promise we will get you on a routine, show you love and find you the best humans to be your patient and loving forever family.

It’s no surprise that Bear has been adopted. We had this guy about two months and then suddenly the apps started pouring in for him. He hit it off immediately with and who are now his forever parents ❤️ He has tons of dog friends and cat siblings named Neil 🥹

Thanks to his foster who kept him safe and loved till we found the perfect home. Have a great life, Bud!

Francis had a great first weekend out of the shelter. He was a hit at our adoption event, loves playing with his dog pals, is very well mannered in every situation and we have a feeling will be scooped up soon!

A cozy Sunday with Sugar & Egg is pretty special. These two are actual perfection and yet, not a single application in 6 months. They watched their siblings find homes and flourish and they are still with their foster.

The older they get we know it’s going to be harder to get them adopted as a bonded pair. We are hoping that someone out there who has a big heart will want this duo where one is deaf and the other tells her brother when it’s time to wake up or eat 🥹

This is Cowboy, he was such a good boy at the event yesterday and yet no interested adopters. We are obsessed with the heart on his side, the shadow of his ears looks like someone is doing “bunny ears” and he loves to nibble on a carrot. He is 10 months old and full of hopes and dreams.

We can’t believe we’ve had this perfect puppy this long, let’s gets him adopted! 🤞🏽

You know who won’t be at the adoption event tomorrow?!? ANDRE!!!👏🏼 We’re so excited that he found an amazing forever home & will never see the shelter life again! He’s a spunky little puppy …and his new mom is committed to his puppy training. We know they will thrive together!

It’s — and look at this cute pic of Dr Legs with his foster dad at our last adoption event! We are so grateful for all our fosters - we can only rescue more dogs because of them. Dr Legs is so lucky to have his awesome foster parents — they are taking such good care of him until his forever home comes along. AND - Maybe the adoption event tomorrow will be his lucky day!!! Thanks to .poor & for welcome Mitch home! The second they met Mitch they knew he was a keeper. He fit in right away & felt part of their family. Thanks to .jenna & for fostering this guy. He will never see a shelter or be homeless again!

New dog alert 🚨 Meet Reggie! This four year old boy was given up by his owner & we are shocked by that, because he’s perfect! He loves other dogs, is great on leash,m, loves all people and is happy and waggy. This 12lb hypoallergenic boy is ready to find his forever home. Night night from Felipe who is cozy in his donated bed thanks to 💕 This prince is the sweetest guy who is loves to chill, an adventure, a cafe, a park or really to go anywhere with his person. He loves all dogs, is great on leash, is healthy and is going to make an adopter very happy.

Good morning from Zoey and her Foster’s pup! These two have been obsessed with one another and although Zoey hadn’t lived with a dog for 11 years prior to coming into Maeday Rescue, we think she’d love a dog friend on her forever home. She of course would be fine being an only dog and being spoiled!

Sylvie and Zouzou are patiently waiting for their forever home, either together or separate! At this point they’ll just take a home. They are now 7 months old and we rescued them at 2 months. They watched their littermates get adopted and keep watching Maeday dogs get adopted. When will it be their turn?

If they are adopted separate, they’d do best in a home with another cat.
