We are solely based in Los Angeles and are not affiliated with any other organizations. MaeDay is named after Natalie's dog, Maggie Mae, whose life was taken after a roll over accident on the freeway in 2010. Since the accident, Natalie has volunteered at local California animal shelters and with Mexican animal shelters, fostering and finding homes for hundreds of dogs and cats. She has volunteere
d at Spay/Neuter clinics and is currently planning a Mae-Day spay/neuter clinic for the fall of 2014. Good morning from Boots 💜 This gorgeous girl loves a car ride and an adventure. She is a 3 year old sweetheart who would thrive with a yard. She is good on leash, but can be VERY stubborn. Her foster mom hasn’t been able to crack the code about this unique quirk. She will walk in another neighborhood, but in her own neighborhood she will not walk and will just sit down and protest. We’ve tried treats, other dogs, patience and ultimately she wants to go potty in her yard. Usually this stems from being insecure and peeing on leash takes confidence building. We know it’s going to take the right person or family, we feel that having a yard where she can potty in private is key!
She is potty trained with her schedule and will dance by the door telling you she has to go out. She loves other dogs, loves all people and has zero separation anxiety. We hope someone falls in love with her soon.
Message to Aubrey’s future adopter - whoever adopts her must buy her this toy bone. She loves to play and feels like she can take this toy on 💪🏽 Aubrey came to our sister pet supply store today for a visit ➡️ and was an angel. Shes friendly, loving, playful and basically perfect. She is working on her potty training and judging by her skin infection (that’s not contagious and healing) she most likely lived outside. She’s great on a strict potty schedule, but sometimes has an accident.

Penelope went through a big trauma where she survived a shooting, then went to the shelter where she was on hold for weeks and then was in Maeday foster care for months (thanks to her foster mom ) and through all that she never had any behavioral issues and was always a lovely houseguest. We are so happy to be part of her journey and bring her a happy ending to this crazy story.

Hi 👋🏼 here (Maeday founder) I had the pleasure of hanging with Maeday dog Tilly yesterday and she’s the best! I did some stories talking about her, but wanted to jump on here to tell you a bit about her.
Tilly is about a year old and still very puppy-like. She can have accidents in a new place, but with a routine and patience she can get there. She loves other dogs, but has gotten territorial over her bed, crate etc… towards other dogs. She’d be best with a dog that won’t challenge her or as a solo pup. But, if she is a solo pup it MUST be a home that will keep her active, train her and take her to doggie daycare. This girl has ENERGY! She can do zoomies and chase another dog for hours.

Izzy!!! This handsome boy is now officially a Maeday cat as we help longtime Maeday follower (yes from KCRW’s good food) find the best home for Izzy. Izzy kind of just ended up with Evan and she took him in, but her other cat isn’t very happy and it’s not a safe environment for Izzy. He is friendly, cuddly, fixed, litter trained, healthy and can pretty much live in any type of living situation with the exception of dogs… he gets stressed by dogs.

This is the face of a guy who is back with Maeday after he had a trial, but it wasn’t a match. The family loved him, but Chet’s one “thing” is that he LOVES to eat rocks and pretty much anything that’s outside 🤦🏻♀️ Their yard was mainly tiny stones and he would stop putting them in his mouth. They tried everything and after we all spoke, we decided he’d thrive in a no rock environment. We can’t blame Chet, he was found in a dumpster after all and something tells me he was in that dumpster for an all you can eat buffet 🤷🏻♀️
This is why we do trials. We want the home to be the best fit for our dog and the dog to be the right fit for the family. Luckily, Chet is so easy and loves everyone. We aren’t worried, his person is out there!

Guess what?! Tiny Helen has been adopted and it’s to a two time Maeday adopter 🥰 This family adopted Maeday kitten, Tate (pictured) a few years ago and now he is a grown cat who was looking for a tiny sibling. They were fast cat pals and it was a great fit!! Thank you to everyone who was part of Helen’s journey and to who originally found her under the hood of a car.

Napoleon came to the puppy social we host at ➡️ on Sunday afternoons. The puppy social is specifically for people who have their own puppies that are under 6 months old and want to play and socialize with other puppies their own age. Since Napoleon is a Maeday pup, he obviously got to come for free and he modeled in the shop 🥰
Napoleon played great with the other puppy who attended and showed us how brave and fearless he is. It made us realize that he definitely needs to be adopted into a home that has another social dog. Please only apply for him if you have another dog in your home full-time.

Good morning from Maeday kitten Chrissy! We’ve never seen a coloring like this and she’s a dream. She is like a light brown/red tabby? We are obsessed and can’t wait for her to find her perfect forever home. She and her litter mates did test positive for FELV, but that can happen at this young age and usually test negative by 6 months. We will retest them in about a month, but we hope that that doesn’t scare a doctors away. 🤞🏽
