MaeDay Rescue MaeDay Rescue is a 501c3 animal rescue organization based in Los Angeles. Her passion is animals; with each one she saves, it's as if she is saving Maggie Mae.

We are solely based in Los Angeles and are not affiliated with any other organizations. MaeDay is named after Natalie's dog, Maggie Mae, whose life was taken after a roll over accident on the freeway in 2010. Since the accident, Natalie has volunteered at local California animal shelters and with Mexican animal shelters, fostering and finding homes for hundreds of dogs and cats. She has volunteere

d at Spay/Neuter clinics and is currently planning a Mae-Day spay/neuter clinic for the fall of 2014. This page is meant to spread awareness and share the work that Mae-Day is doing, along with promoting Mae-Day events and Mae-Day animals. All donations are appreciated and will help all fur babies!! Coley was spayed end of last week and now that she is feeling better her puppy-self is coming out. She is a silly girl who loves to play, loves dogs, all people and so far wants to play with her foster’s cats 😂 It seems harmless playing, but she should probably be in a home with a confident cat or no cats!

She is potty trained with a schedule and gets a little excited on a walk, but just needs basic consistency with leash training. She’s a real sweetheart and we can’t wait for her to find her forever family!

Pirate LOVES dogs and would love a home with another dog in it. Pirate is the black & white pup in these photos and the brown pup is his foster’s dog. Pirate has found comfort in his temporary dog pal and we are hopeful that there is a dog out there looking for a bff 🤞🏽

We lost our sweet Fospice girl Chiclet last night. We took her into Maeday rescue in 2023 and she soon became a fostpice dog due to health reasons. Thankfully she had amazing fosters who were previous Maeday adopters.

Jacob is settled on the couch for the night and ready to watch the red carpet & The Oscars! — he hopes to be watching the next awards season from the comfort of his forever home!🤞🏼🏆

We also have great news that he’s in a temporary foster home right now with and he’s doing GREAT with the dog in the home. We weren’t sure how he would do because his main foster home doesn’t have another dog …but we are happy to report it’s going wonderfully! Turner is ready to go to bed …but he wants to bring his ball!🎾🤣 We love this playful guy — he may be 13 years old, but he’s still a puppy at heart! He’s healthy, happy, and the best companion. Tobie is getting so much better on-leash & with his potty training - Yay! We don’t think this poor guy was ever walked before💔….but now he’s making up for it in his senior years, learning fast, and even going to the dog park! It’s a lot of big changes for him after living 11 years of his life a certain way, but we are happy to show him what the good life is all about.

Tobie saw a cardiologist last week and we found out more about his heart …and that he’s fine to undergo surgery. We’re figuring out what the next steps are and what’s best for him, but he’s still looking for a happy home to live out the rest of his golden years …so you should apply now for this 8 lb tiny gentleman 🫶🏼.

Ronnie is gorgeous in any light —> On your lap outside, snuggling with you on the couch inside, or on your lap inside — haha, he loves a lap! And no matter the location, this guy wants to snuggle!!!🥰🥹

Some notes about Ronnie straight from his foster — “He’s super adaptable, adjusts well, and trusts easily. He LOVES people. Has a very calming energy and is quite soulful. Incredibly cuddly. He very much knows how to be a dog and part of a family - knows his name, commands, plays independently with toys and well with people, enjoys enrichment, transitions from play to nap/quiet time nicely. Great on leash, focused on walks and takes direction during walks nicely. Did SO well on a long walk and sitting calmly on the grass people watching after. Very much housebroken (super impressed!). Loves nothing more than to curl up in your lap and snooze or a contact nap. Came right out of his shell and showed his personality immediately.”

So basically he’s perfect!😍 Ronnie is also doing well being left alone and doesn’t have any separation anxiety. He’s about 5-6 years old, 32 lbs & a poodle/hypo mix of some kind — such a cutie! Someone is going to be very lucky to have him!

Covered in adoptable puppies this Saturday March 1st from 230-430pm 🐶 This litter who was saved from being euthanized will be hanging out at their very own adoption event at Maeday Outpost tomorrow. You don’t have to be looking to adopt to attend. Come live on these puppies, take pics and socialize!

Are you ready for some amazing news?!? Harley is HOME!!!🎉🐾 This guy had a hard life before we rescued him - his owner surrender form at the shelter was sad and said he slept & spent most of his time in the garage💔. But those days are forever behind him!

We thankfully heard about this senior guy from and were able to come to his rescue thanks to his fosters 🫶🏼. His amazing fosters had a lot of patience as he came out of his shell, gave him so much TLC, and stood by him & loved him for the last 3 months (& through some failed trials). All of that made this happy ending possible! Huge thanks to his new mom who confirmed his adoption by texting us “I’m so excited to have him as part of my family!! 💛 He will never sleep in a garage again”

Meet Sunflower 🌻 this tiny 5lb girl was surrendered to after their human was experiencing homelessness. When went to the shelter yesterday to save to other dogs for us. She saw this girl shaking in her cage . Thankfully we had a foster who was ready to jump in with her.

We just welcomed Sunflower into Maeday Rescue today and so far we’ve learned that she loves other dogs, is great on leash and loves treats. She was great in the car and is already cuddling up on her foster mom‘s lap and getting cozy. We can’t wait to learn more about her but until then, please give a warm welcome to this tiny girl.

Meet MONA!🩷🐾 This gal came to us from the yesterday and we already know she’s a total gem! We were already set to rescue a senior dog that needed us (who we will announce soon) when we heard about his pal Mona. They were both surrendered to the shelter together, Mona was then adopted from the shelter …and then returned after 1 day🙄(by no fault of her own). So the shelter asked us if we could take her too and we quickly said YES! They aren’t bonded, but they’re now both safe & will never see the shelter again.

Mona is about 10-12 years old, 8 lbs, and a total sweetheart! She seems potty trained, is good with other dogs, and is getting a dental today! She has some bad breath🤢 …which likely comes from neglect & poor nutrition. But that’s ok - after her dental surgery, her mouth will be sparkly clean! We love this gal already and can’t wait to learn more about her.

Miso is ADOPTED & we are over the moon for this perfect match!🌙✨ To go from being abandoned on the street …to now being spoiled & loved — that’s what she deserves and what rescue is all about! We are so thrilled that she will live her senior years in such an amazing home with & ❤️🐾

Huge thanks to for being her original savior, nursing her back to health (& through a couple surgeries), and fostering her until her happy ending came along! Miso is now named Cookie and we are so excited for her cozy new life with her new family!
