HAPPY POST - ADOPTED 🎉❤️ 8 adoptions this year so far!!

Linus 💙 - our not dog friendly old man found his perfect fit and I’ve been sent so many updates of him in the bath, on hikes, playing with other dogs, going down the slide with his mom. So special! 9 long months and he deserves this so much!

Clyde - after his escape - he has been living happily with Larry! I am so grateful he isn’t outside today!

Gus - another long time resident California stray who found his happily ever after with his Dog Dad and brother Rello! They have howl offs

Zoe - now Sophie (they had another pup named Zoe) is flourishing in her new home! She has a young sister to do the zoomies with and 2 older sisters to keep her in check! Also a big human family to give her all the attention she has never gotten before!

Jasper - pulled and tagged from Lebanon Dog Pound with hours to spare before he would be euthanized because he had a foster step up. This foster took him home and is now adopting him forever.

We currently have several dogs available for adoption Bonnie, Lady, Mama Dill, Minnie.
Stay tuned for another adult and 2 pups soon!
We are also headed to Springfield Friday to pick up a senior female dog, thanks to a local foster to adopt, who has never lived inside and her owners left her when they moved. I cannot help more dogs without fosters and funding.
We will be having a Benefit Dinner at The California Eagles 3/29 to help raise funds to spay and neuter all the pups that got adopted over the last 6 months! And don’t forget about the Women’s event at Hollon Chiropractic Saturday March 8th which benefits the rescue also!

Opal renamed Minnie has been in her new home since she was 9 weeks and is now 14 weeks old. She has received 2 rounds of shots and is current on nexguard+. The rescue is covering her 16 week shots at the vet and her spay once she gets 6 months old.
Her adoption is free, but we do require a meet and greet. We will travel to you!
You don’t have to be local.
She is a mixed breed smaller dog and been great with kids, cats, and other dogs! I can send pics of her mom (45lbs full grown) mixed breed, but we do not know info on dad.
She is not fully potty trained. Her current owners have had her just over a month and have just had an increase in their work hours and need to find her a home who has the time for puppy training.
A puppy is a life long commitment so please consider this and keeping Minnie forever before you reach out!

Lady was found in Russellville, MO several months ago as a stray. She was shared everywhere, but no one came forward for her. She did not have any identification or a microchip.
She moved between a few neighbors homes and ended up sticking with one family for awhile. These finders let her stay in their shop hoping to find her owners.
She hasn’t had any accidents in the shop, but she can get mischievous because she wants to be with people and not alone in there.
The rescue has covered her spay and she’s now up to date on vaccines. We have learned that while she is amazing with people, she has to be the only animal in the home.
The finders have cats and another dog, so this is causing even more strain keeping Lady separated 24/7.
The finders say Lady is VERY sweet and smart. She knows basic commands. She would be great with a truck driver (does amazing in the car) or a home with only adults or older children and NO other animals.
She is estimated to be about 3 years old. Rottie shepherd mix. She’s absolutely beautiful and deserves a chance. If interested in fostering or adopting Lady, please reach out!
We pay for everything for fosters and adopting is free too! Just a meet and greet required at your home. We will travel to you!

🥒Mama Dill🥒

Mama Dill is a GSD and kind of a big deal!Abandoned by her owners with her new pups, neighbors have been pitching in to help care for her.
Mama is mostly outside, but when brought in by neighbors does fabulous and hasn’t had any accidents! She gets along great with all the other dogs in the neighborhood, but no cats please! She may be shy at first, but she is very smart and eager to please. We are not sure on age. She will be getting spayed and vaccinated on 2/11 to ensure no more puppies and then be available for meet and greets, so we can get her off the streets!
Very sweet girl. Never been kennel trained, but we believe she will learn quickly. Could be a good inside or outside dog with owners who care for her. Mamas adoption is free, but meet and greet is required at your home. We will bring her to you. Please share and contact us if interested in Mama or one of her pups today!

Meet our newest member, Bonnie! Who needs “chocolate” for Valentines when you can have this kind of bon bon! 🍫

Little Bon Bon is a smaller sized mix breed brindle beauty looking for her forever family. She’s still warming up to us and learning the ropes here at our home. Bonnie previously lived with 2 male dogs and cats and did great! She can be a little ball of energy once she feels comfortable. She is a love bug.
She hasn’t been potty trained here and has accidents in the kennel. Getting used to her new outdoor space. So keep that in mind as she may take some time to learn and acclimate in your home.
She will be very timid at first and may need a few slow intros to new places, people, and other animals.
Bonnie is spayed and up to date on her vaccines. She was previously an outside dog and we would love to find her a home where she can live the good life on your couch.
Bonnie is free, but a meet and greet is required at your home. We will travel to you.

THANK YOU JESUS!!!!
Cord and I went to Columbia yesterday and spent hours searching the acres of heavily wooded area with Larry searching for Clyde in case his leash had him caught up somewhere. We did spot him near where he had been seen before with someone’s dog, but he ran when he got spooked. So we went and bought a trap and live cam. Got permission and set up food stations and all.
His chunky beagle friend ate the food we left for him, so we were thinking we’d have to re bait and try again after Larry went late last night to let his friend out.
Around 3am I got a notification something went in, but I couldn’t tell what it was.
As you can see when Larry went this morning - IT WAS CLYDE!!!!
He is safe and okay which is ALL that matters!!! Larry has been dedicated to finding him and spending every waking hour searching or posting flyers or going door to door. As anyone with a dog knows accidents happen. He will promptly be taking extra precautions!

This week I will be going to get Bonnie now that we have a kennel opened up. So both dogs are marked safe. She will go up for adoption soon.
For now the previous owner is keeping Smokey (we got him fully vetted last week also) while searching for somewhere he can move with him. He is on a waiting list for senior housing. If he gets evicted we will post an sos to get Smokey placed, but for now the emergency has been covered.

We still have Zoe and Lady who need homes. Lady needs to go to a new foster or adopter ASAP with no other animals. Bonnie will then be available soon for adoption. It’s never ending, but today we celebrate. Welcome home, Clyde.

UPDATE: at this time Clyde and Bonnie are marked safe via the rescue. Clyde is with an adopter and Bonnie will be up for adoption soon. Smokey is staying with his owner for now while he looks for a new rental where he can keep him.

UPDATE: the owner has an appt with local senior housing this week and is hoping he can arrange to keep Smokey!
We have an appt for Clyde to get neutered, vaccines, and hw test tomorrow and Smokey on Wednesday for the same. Bonnie is fully vetted.

Nothing short of a miracle I had back to back meet and greets this weekend and as long as they are officially adopting long timer Linus, a kennel is open at my home for one. Had an interested adopter reach out for one which we will need to see how meet and greet goes, and then hopefully he can keep Smokey! Still looking for room for one if needed if the adoption doesn’t work out, but there is HOPE! Keep sharing!

‼️URGENT‼️ SEEKING LICENSED RESCUE HELP TO PULL 3 DOGS IN LIFE OR DEATH SITUATION

📍CALIFORNIA, MO

A few months ago I was contacted by an elderly gentleman who is struggling health wise to care for his 3 dogs.
He has 2 (Bonnie & Clyde) siblings that spend 99% of their time outside. One in a very small pen and one on a chain near a dilapidated barn.
He has a third, one of their offspring, Smokey in the home. He was seeking rehoming Bonnie and Clyde both due to not being able to care for them. He was already talking euthanasia for Clyde at this time due to him not getting along with Smokey.
I didn’t and still don’t have room to take them and finding placement for 2 pit mixes. One he labels as not dog friendly is extremely tough.
Neither had any vetting either. I offered to start with getting Bonnie fixed and her rabies so she could move into the home before the cold came since she and Smokey get along but if it’s above freezing she goes back to the pen.
I brought a load of straw to help provide sufficient shelter/warmth for Clyde in the barn.

I have an appt to get Clyde neutered, rabies, and distemper parvo next Tuesday 01/21/25 - this will be cancelled and post poned nowThe plan was to pull both of these dogs under my rescue once the three I’ve had at my home for months get adopted, but I warned the owner this could take a long time.
Well now time is up. The owner called me today in a panic because his landlord came by and after 12 years is threatening to evict him if the dogs aren’t gone by 01/31 due to insurance threatening to drop the property owner.
ALL 3 DOGS! We know that legally it will take 30 days notice to properly evict, but he is in an especially vulnerable position and is beside himself about losing Smokey especially his companion. I don’t have room for these dogs at my home, I don’t have the capacity to place them with fosters when I know nothing about them, and I also don’t feel comfortable adopting them out until they can properly be introduced to other dogs. At this time I am looking for a licensed rescue to tag these 3. I will pay and get all the vetting done prior or once transported and I will transport wherever to give these 3 a chance. The alternative is unfortunately what no one wants to talk about, but that’s the reality of rescue now. No room means euthanized. I carry this burden so heavily, but I’m not giving up hope yet.

Here’s what I do know:

Clyde: estimated 6 year old pit mix. 40ish lbs lives outside 24/7 so likely not house trained. Resource guards food against the cats and other dogs. Gets along with Bonnie but not Smokey. Would only possibly be okay with another female dog. Runs free near cattle and doesn’t bother them when the owner lets him off the chain. (Dark colored dog in pictures) he was very sweet with me and timid immediately rolling over. No vetting but can be done

Bonnie: estimated 6 year old pit mix. 40ish lbs
Has shown to be potty trained when inside with no accidents. Recently fixed and rabies vaccine. Did great on the car ride and at the vet, but is a little escape artist. (Brown and white dog in pictures) she loves people and lives with the cats and does good with both male dogs. Very sweet with people.

Smokey: (no pictures but looks similar to Clyde on coloring) estimated 3 year old pit mix. 40ish lbs. potty trained. Gets along with Bonnie and around cats outside. No vetting but can be done.

This is the worst part of rescue and unfortunately is reality. A lot of rescues are full.
But I won’t say we didn’t try everything. Please share.

As you can see we’ve had LOTS of puppies adopted out - this means lots of upcoming vet bills for spay & neuter even though they are with their new families!!! This means limited funding.
So until these bills are covered over the next several months and the 3 dogs currently available for adoption at our home are adopted - we are CLOSED for intakes until further notice!! We have a list of dogs needing pulled as soon as we have availability already! No shortage of stray or unwanted dogs

We’ve had 2 adoptions so far for 2025 and had 33 adopted in 2024
We’ve already funded 2 community spays for 2025 and have another spay and neuter on the books to help dogs in Moniteau County!!

Please consider adopting one of our amazing four dogs looking for their forever!

🚨SOS🚨
Lady NEEDS a Foster or Adopter ASAP!!!!

Current fosters who took her in cannot keep her any longer and we have limited time to find her somewhere else to go before the unthinkable happens.
I was and still am full and turned away the first finders and only after the current fosters had her for months and continued to reach out for help did I agree to pay for her vetting since they were keeping her safe. Please know when you ask me for help and I turn you away this is why!!! Now I’m in a horrible situation and so is Lady.
She’s been cooped up in their garage for months and that’s no way for her to live. It’s become too much for them to handle.
We have learned through her time there, she HAS to be the only animal in the home! Willing to travel for the perfect home, but she would do best in a fenced in yard or a home with room for her to run. She’s great with people and knows basic commands.

Please share and let me know if you’d be interested in meeting Lady before it’s too late!
She’s spayed and UTD on vaccines.
Free but a meet and greet is required.
I would also rescue relinquish if another rescue had room by a miracle. Please help me save this dog.

Remember mama Diamond who we were there when she delivered her 4 beautiful babies!?
Well, her owners are keeping 1 and 1 has found a home. They are now 8 weeks old and just received a nexguard+ and first round of shots.
We have 2 left available for adoption. Not potty trained. Very much puppy and love to play. Committed life long adopters required!
Last picture is mama since Dad is unknown so you can see what she looks like. She’s around 50 lbs and such a sweetie!

Adopted🎉 Brown puppy (1st pic) her mamas twin shown snoozing with mom in the second pic is Jewels and she is available for a meet and greet!

Adopted🎉 White and black puppy Opal (Opie 3rd pic) is available for a meet and greet!

Diamonds owners with the new puppy have 4 females in the home and thanks to all of YOU we are sponsoring all 4 of them to be spayed so we don’t have any more puppies!! THANK YOU! We helped financially to fix 4 community dogs in 2024. Here’s already 4 more for 2025! If you are local and you need help to KEEP your dog, if I have the additional funds to do so, I would do whatever I can so your dog doesn’t end up in rescue or a shelter.
