Shared post- Looking for 14 homes to take on a French Exchange student for a couple weeks this summer!

"I am looking for families ( or couples) that might want to share their home with a student from France for three weeks ( 8th -30) in July! It’s been a bit since I’ve updated, and I know I haven’t been as active as I was last year. I’ve been busier this year since I’m not on a leave like I was before. My garden got a bit overgrown and I didn’t yield nearly as much, but I think I was still successful. Still can’t get the hang of melons or carrots though. I did get another round of garlic planted today, got tomatillos husked and washed to ready to freeze, washed and sliced the green tomatoes and got those ready to freeze, and I’m preparing the parsnips to freeze. My sunflowers went wild and it took a lot to clean them up. I have so many seeds and the chickens got a bunch for a nice snack. I also got to see lady bugs in different stages for the first time ever. Growing dill everywhere was a good call. The lady bugs made the dill their home. Idk where they’re at now, but I’ll see them again in the spring.

They’re finally here!

Today I pulled out some more poison hemlock. We had a few last year that I pulled out. Thought I got them all, but hard to see when they’re growing out of the blackberries. Why the garbage bag on top? I put it over the flowers that look like they were almost ready to seed. I didn’t want to accidentally breathe some of it in, or scatter a bunch of seeds. Plus this is what I was going to put it in to dispose of anyway. Can’t burn it because it will make the air toxic and you’re gonna have a bad time.
