It’s been a bit since I’ve updated, and I know I haven’t been as active as I was last year. I’ve been busier this year since I’m not on a leave like I was before. My garden got a bit overgrown and I didn’t yield nearly as much, but I think I was still successful. Still can’t get the hang of melons or carrots though. I did get another round of garlic planted today, got tomatillos husked and washed to ready to freeze, washed and sliced the green tomatoes and got those ready to freeze, and I’m preparing the parsnips to freeze. My sunflowers went wild and it took a lot to clean them up. I have so many seeds and the chickens got a bunch for a nice snack. I also got to see lady bugs in different stages for the first time ever. Growing dill everywhere was a good call. The lady bugs made the dill their home. Idk where they’re at now, but I’ll see them again in the spring.

Parsnips are surprisingly easy to peel. Yes, I grew these. There’s more to be harvested but they are a pain to get 😂
