Queenie and Inga just finished Session 1 Agility Foundations tonight at forest city dog training club. In March we will start basic obstacles! It’s a whole new learning curve, but they seem to like it ❤️

Inga had six classes and scored between 95 and 100.
She now has sixteen Triple Qs going toward a goal of twenty Triple Qs to become a Rally Champion.

Hans also had six classes today and scored 97s and 99s
He now has four Triple Qs and is working toward his Rally Champion title too

Inga and I went down the rabbit hole of Rally five years ago. We are seven QQQs away from being Rally Champions (RACH)

Triple Q is earning a qualifying score in Master, Excellent and Advanced Rally courses in the same trial. You need 20 triple Qs plus a specific number of points to achieve this title.

We earned two more QQQs today!

Beware a little complaining from me:
The last two months I’ve had bad luck with dry dog food. Background info: I buy / feed two to three different brands of dog food at a time - varying brands all the time. No fussy eaters. Then about two months ago ….
❌3 of my 5 dogs were either throwing up or refusing to eat. I figured out the specific food so removed it from their diet.
❌Then, Queenie completely stopped eating. I found a dog food that said it was for digestive health and had probiotics in it for her. Opened bag to find cobwebs! and live worms!. Returned it. It was purina One.
❌Then purchased Victor beef dog food. Now there’s a recall on that !

What the heck ?

Queenie says her new mission is to help me get in shape so I can keep up with her fun activities.
And when we’re done she ‘lets’ me drive home so she can sleep.

Queenie’s Agility progress and enthusiasm are great! We’re working with farm junk as agility equipment.
🐾The first picture shows how far slanted my weaves are but she consistently goes between them. Soon I’ll stand them up straight and she’ll have to actually weave.
🐾 The video shows that I’m trying to help her work on my right and left side. (She’s also being trained in strict obedience which is left side only). She seems to understand.

Hans can look pretty intimidating and I trust he would never hesitate if I needed help from him, which is a bonus.

But, equally important is he’s an absolute joy to live with and travel with.

Today Queenie is introduced to footfall of the weave pattern. This is her absolute first attempt where the posts are in a line, but tipped outward to create an open feel.
Later they will stand up straight and she’ll have to weave between them.
Not exciting right now, but just wait 🙌🏽 👏🏽

Inga and Hans had another good day at Rally trials.
Hans’ first attempt at Triple Q (masters, excellent, advanced) and qualified for all.
Inga got a First place plus $20.00 cash! and a fourth place and a qualifying score.

So Queenie decided she really likes Agility. We will be working on skills and techniques and I guess we have another new hobby 🥳

Mother Nature was kind again today at Hans’ Rally Trial.

Hans took 1st in Excellent with a score of 99. Like a dummy that was the only trial I entered him in.

The weather turned out perfect this year for an outside Rally trial.

Inga took High Combined Triple Q 🥳
She took a 1st in Masters, 3rd in Excellent, 2nd in Advanced.
I’m told tomorrow she will get a bronze medal with a German Shepherd on it!!
Tomorrow Hans will compete.
