# # # Training Spotlight: Fynn & Bunny's Journey! 🐾

Hey, dog lovers! Today, I want to share the heartwarming progress of two adorable pups, Fynn and Bunny, who completed my board and behavioral training program. These cuties are back for socialization days, and I couldn't be more excited to see them!

# # # # Meet Fynn & Bunny

- **Fynn**: This sweet boy is a true peach! He’s been doing wonderfully and is a great example of how consistent training can lead to a well-behaved pup. His positive demeanor makes him a joy to work with!

- **Bunny**: While Bunny is a sweetheart, she has been struggling with some fear reactivity, particularly towards big, loud moving objects. Today, we focused on helping her overcome her fears, especially around the outside trash cans, which she considers her biggest enemy.

# # # # Training Highlights

During our session, we worked on desensitizing Bunny to the trash cans. Here’s a quick overview of what we did:

1. **Gradual Exposure**: We started at a distance where Bunny felt safe and gradually moved closer to the trash cans. This helped her build confidence without overwhelming her.

2. **Positive Reinforcement**: I used my calm, assertive energy and praise to reward Bunny for her calm behavior. This helped her associate the presence of the trash cans with positive experiences.

3. **Trust Building**: After about 2 minutes, Bunny remembered that she could trust me. Her fear of the trash cans lessened, and we ended the session on a positive note, reinforcing her progress.

Continuing training at home, combined with socialization days, is a fantastic way to keep your pups on track. It helps them face their fears in a controlled environment and reinforces the skills they’ve learned.

**Miss Vada Update!**

I’m thrilled to share how well Vada has been doing with her training! She’s really excelling in her obedience and has quickly picked up on how the e-collar works. For those who may not know, I use an e-collar with most of my training pups because it’s one of the fastest ways to communicate with them.

It’s important to clarify that the e-collar is not meant to correct dogs when they’re in trouble. If you find yourself using it in that way, I urge you to stop immediately and seek professional training. The e-collar, like any training tool, is designed to teach dogs in a fun and positive manner—similar to how we would teach anyone something new. Think of the e-collar as an extension of your body, or more specifically, your voice.

Dogs naturally communicate through touch and body language. By using the e-collar positively, I can help my dogs understand that my voice is a meaningful way to communicate. This approach makes our training sessions more effective and enjoyable!

I’ve genuinely enjoyed working with Vada and witnessing her eagerness to learn and follow the rules. She’s truly a joy to train, and I can’t wait to see how much more she will grow!

🐾 **Luci's Updates!** 🐾

Hey everyone! I wanted to share some exciting progress with our favorite husky, Luci! 🎉

Luci has been putting in some serious effort to listen to commands the first time they're given. As any husky owner knows, this can be quite the challenge! 😂 But I'm proud to say that Luci is catching on quickly and really trying his best to overcome that stubborn streak.

We're also focusing on his socialization skills with other dogs. Sometimes, Luci can be a bit pushy and starts things he really doesn't want to finish! This is all part of typical husky behavior, and we're working hard to create positive experiences for him and his furry friends. 🐶❤️

**Transforming Relationships: Buddy & Luci's Journey**

When I first met Buddy and Luci, they were far from friends. Their days together were tense, and their interactions often led to conflict. Luci, with his pushy personality, frequently tested boundaries, while Buddy, sensitive and wary due to past experiences, struggled to trust. The dynamic was complicated further by the fact that both are males, one of whom was unneutered, and neither had received proper training or socialization.

As you can imagine, this situation created a volatile environment, especially when fights broke out. Buddy's growing resentment towards Luci led to targeted attacks, which were particularly distressing for Luci, who has a disability that causes seizures when he becomes overly stressed. This made the situation traumatic for both Luci and his family, as well as for Buddy.

However, I’m thrilled to share that Buddy has successfully completed my board and behavioral training program! He is now at home, working on establishing a healthy routine with his family before we reintroduce Luci. Before Buddy went home, both boys had a few socialization days together to test the waters, and I’m happy to report that everything went extremely well. They even completed a week of training together, which laid the groundwork for Luci’s upcoming four-week program.

I am incredibly proud of both of these boys. Rebuilding a healthy relationship after such severe conflicts takes immense effort and dedication, and they have shown remarkable progress.

We’re excited to share an update on Vada’s first outing with our board and behavioral training program, and let me tell you—she absolutely rocked it! 🎉

Vada has faced some challenges with reactivity in the past, but with the right training and support, she is learning how to socialize effectively. During her outing, she bravely approached new people and even made friends with a few dogs! 🐶💖 It’s incredible to witness her progress, and we couldn’t be prouder of her!

What makes this journey even more special is that Vada’s family joined in on the training. Their involvement is crucial, as it helps reinforce the skills Vada is learning and strengthens their bond. Together, they are creating a positive environment for Vada to thrive in. Watching her blossom with the support of her family is truly heartwarming! 🌼

🌊🐾 **Sunken Ship Pack Walk Recap!** 🐾🌊

First off, a HUGE thank you to the Sunken Ship for hosting such an incredible event! It was an absolute blast supporting our first responders and military personnel. The food trucks served up some amazing eats, the music was fantastic, and the company was even better! 🎶🍔

A special shoutout to Julie for capturing all the fun with her amazing photography! 📸 And of course, a big thank you to all my wonderful pack members who joined us on this walk. It truly was the best one this year, and I can’t wait to do it again! 🐶❤️

His mom has been keeping me in the loop with all his progress, and I love that she’s reaching out with questions when he gets a little pushy about boundaries. Communication is key, and I’m here to help!

I’m also thrilled to share that Luci (Buddy's brother) is doing so well that we’re actually shortening his program from 6 weeks to just 4 weeks! 🎉 I can’t wait to see Buddy and Luci back together, working with their parents and siblings. It’s going to be amazing!

🌟🐾 TOMORROW IS PACK WALK DAY! 🐾🌟

Hey everyone! Just a quick reminder that our pack walk is happening tomorrow at the Sunken Ship in Princeton! 🎉 And guess what? We’ve got the perfect day for it because there’s already an event happening—how cool is that? 😄

The pack walk officially kicks off at 1 PM, but I’ll be there a bit earlier, working with Vada and her family. If you see me before 1 PM, please give us a little space to get things sorted out.

This is going to be a BIG, FUN event, so come ready to enjoy! If you’re feeling a bit unsure about handling your dog in a big crowd but still want to join in, no worries! Just shoot me a message, and I’ll have extra walking buddies available for anyone who needs one. 🐶❤️
