I couldn’t love these tiny terrorists more. Today we got baths and blow dry. Aurora (BTF) was certain I was trying to drown her. I bathed and blew out gramma and momma and no one cared even let me blow the dryer on high at them from a distance

At 4 am today I learned how to get rid of puppy fever. Every morning we get up at 330. Feed everyone and let puppies run around. I usually lay on the floor and cuddle the big dogs and puppies play. WELL today I dozed off and woke up being bit in the face. They are no longer cute at 4 am.

I always wean puppies onto raw, freeze dried/dehydrated and cooked foods. They take to it much faster than kibble mush. I introduce kibble later. Tonight they are eating Ollie’s.

I had a little shadow while I was trying to clean the weaning pen so I decided to weigh little Midgard a little early. (I usually do weights and any paperwork in the evening right before bedtime) SHE WEIGHS 2 POUNDS!!! She started at just 3 ounces and I didn’t know if she would survive the night!!! She’s a fighter and feisty as all get out but the first one to come snuggle in your lap and falls asleep in your arms

Babies are 3 weeks old!! The biggest is Asgard at 2 lbs 8 oz and smallest is Midgard is 1 lb 6 oz.
At 3 weeks River was 3 lbs. the smallest in her litter was 2 lbs 9 oz.

We got real food today. We mostly stuck our bodies in it and sucked it off our feet and off our siblings. I let momma finish and clean everyone up

With rising veterinary costs we have all of our dogs on pet insurance. After much research and talking to people who have used different companies we went with petsbest. Every claim we have made has been handled quickly and have had no issues receiving our reimbursements. We only have injury and illness and have only been making on average 1 claim a year. This one claim has either paid for or at least broke even for what we have paid in premiums. I spent many MANY years resisting insurance for dogs and advocated setting money aside for an emergency I no longer feel in this economy that is a good decision.

We believe in feeding a variety of foods and incorporating fresh foods into our dogs diet. We feed everything from raw, kibble, canned, cooked, freeze dried/dehydrated. This year we started incorporating foods from some of the premade fresh food delivery services. So far the dogs are LOVING Ollies. I prefer the packaging of the fresh food to some of the other brands we have tried and their baked dry food makes excellent treats and meal toppers.

My pup loves digging into Ollie's fresh food and I think yours will too!
