Please call before you try to come to the office tomorrow...if no one answers besides a machine, we aren't there yet! Our staff will get there as soon as we can safely do so. If you had an appointment and we were closed, we will contact you to reschedule.
Again, call before you drive and don't come if a human doesn't answer your call!

FLEAS! ACK! Make sure your furry friends are protected!
This is the sickest of the group, a 6 or so year old male who has urine scald and is painful, likely from his time in the "coffin." He is eating and the meds are working.
Dr Elliott went to the shelter today to examine the dogs found in the "coffin." There are 17 total, two of which are at our office currently. Surprisingly, most of them are in pretty good health. Many need some dental work and some TLC, but no major issues. This is one we have nicknamed Pablo! He hangs out with our receptionists!
Is your dog or cat protected from ticks? There are a lot of them out there! Not only can they carry diseases like Lyme or Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever; they can also cause tick paralysis. This is a condition where the tick injects a neurotoxin when attached to the dogs skin...in some cases it causes complete paralysis!
This is a video of Jax. He came in to the office yesterday completely unable to move all four legs and unable to pick up his head. His labwork and radiographs were normal, all we found were four ticks. About 4 hours later, he was able to lift his head, and today he is acting like nothing happened!!
Remember, protect your pets from ticks! We have Nexgard, Bravecto, and Provecta (a generic Advantix 2) here at the office to help you keep the bugs off your furry friends!! 🐶🐱🕷🕷🕷🕷🕷🕷🕷🕷
