What does your dogs expression say about your training style!?

Engagement: what is it and why is it so
important?

Engagement is the dog’s desire and willingness to pay attention to the handler and show enthusiasm in what is being asked of them despite the environment and/or distractions.

To me, engagement comes before anything else. It is irrelevant if a dog can perform a bunch of tricks and knows various commands if they’re too distracted outside their living room to perform them. The classic line of, “he knows it at home” comes to mind.

We teach working dogs from a young age that with pressure comes reward. How to work through stressful situations and dominate whatever the opponent may throw their way. Understanding what’s too much and when it’s time to up stressors takes a professional and IMO I like to take things slower than some people I see on IG doing all this crazy s**t with a puppy. There is no rush if the genetics 🧬 are there the rest is easy and will fall in place when proper foundation is layed. Working dogs in prey and seeing them catch and acquire is what I prefer and once they get a bit older and mature you can “challenge” them over that prey object and build from there. Working a dog in straight defense is crap to me and it’s not fun for them. If the nerves and desire to work aren’t there don’t force bite work just because you see “cool videos” on social media. Explore other venues with your dog and give them an outlet that they can still and enjoy and thrive of off and is more fitting for them. Lastly don’t be fooled by the amount of followers a trainer/company may have.. it doesn’t mean s**t for the most part. Some obviously are creditable and other well maybe not so much. We have had thousands of followers lost them all and bounced back but in all honesty I prefer the smaller number now because we can actually engage and do our best to respond to each and everyone of you that inquires about our JPK9 services. The most common response is “wow, thank you so much for getting back to us so quickly” we take pride in customer service and building individual relationships with each and every one of you ‼️

Just because your dog is only a “Board” doesn’t mean they are BORED with us😉We take them all over the ranch and introduce them to lots of fun animals & activities. All dogs sleep INDOORS with us and are under 24/7 care. Clean, reliable and safe spot for your dogs while you’re away. Peace of mind is worth every penny. Each dog gets taken out 1 on 1 and played with separately not a s**t show like most other places. No matter the age, behavior or temperament it’s no problem for us. Also NO IT DOES NOT MATTER IF THEY ARE NEUTERED/ SPAYED to stay with us unlike LOTS of other places 🤯

Branding is everything, that's how I have developed a worldwide known brand in this dog industry with multiple locations statewide and growing.
