Chihuahua named Jaida Marie, brought home by husband Kenny. Over the months following I feel that God sent her to me to get me out of that

wheel chair. After a year she did just that. She also showed us how a “rescue” pet could turn your life around in so many ways. We began to open our home to each and every dog / puppy and litters that came our way. We have rescued, fully vetted, and found wonderful homes for each one. As we grew we felt the need to name the rescue and that is how Jaida,s Paws Rescue came about. Jaida has and always will be the inspiration and passion we have for the babies. We lost Jaida in February of 2019 after 17 yrs of endless love. We wanted to carry on her legacy and have outgrown our home with so many babies in need that hubby decided to build a new building for the rescue to use. With only a handful of volunteers to help with the build and almost a year under construction it is finished. We will be able to help many babies in need and we are excited to be able to help the community even more with the over population of pets. All our rescued babies will continue to be seen by our vet upon intake to assure all are healthy and have all their medical needs met including spay / neuter and shots. We are a NO KILL facility meaning we will never euthanize for space. We have fenced in areas where the babies can get out and run/exercise and play daily. We also have inside areas, one with a “home setting” so the babies can get on the sofa and get that feeling of being loved again. We will love, cuddle and care for each baby as we have always done and find each one the loving home they deserve. We take in the unwanted, those in danger, strays, dumped, puppy mill babies as well as mothers with or expecting litters. Our goal is to educate the public on the importance of helping with the pet over population in the world by having pets spayed / neutered, and how to be proper and responsible pet owners. We offer a boarding service at our facility. If you need a play date, an hourly sitter or for a few days and nights we're here for you. We have a climate controlled facility set up like home and you are welcome to come by and check it out We are also set up to give your baby a spa day with a great bath and blow dry

We have also grown into a 501(c)3 corporate team of volunteer animal lovers. They are not paid employees. Each one has and works a full time job yet volunteers their spare time to this rescue. We will forever rescue in hopes that one day there will be NO strays, unwanted, dumped, abused, puppy mill, abandoned, unloved, or uncared for babies.

Just when I thought I had cried all the tears I had left in me...I saw this!!!! READ IT...LET IT SINK IN!!! THIS IS WHY RESCUES BEG YOU TO ADOPT AND NOT SHOP. TO SPAY AND NEUTER. THEY DESERVE BETTER FROM YOU!!!!

No more lonely cold nights or hearing that I'm bad
No more growling belly from the meals I never had.
No more scorching sunshine with a water bowl that's dry.
No more complaining neighbors about the noise when I cry.
No more hearing "shut up", "get down" or "get out of here"!
No more feeling disliked, only peace is in the air.
Euthanasia is a blessing, though some still can't see
Why I was ever born If I weren't meant to be.
My last day of living was the best I ever had.
Someone held me very close; I could see she was very sad.
I kissed the lady's face, and she hugged me as she cried.
I wagged my tail to thank her, and then I closed my eyes and died……"

There is potential outbreak of Canine Infectious Respiratory Disease Complex (CIRDC) that is occurring across the country. There have been reports of cases in the Chattanooga area.

At this time, we are recommending that you try your best to avoid situations in which dogs are in close contact (grooming, boarding, dog park, etc.). CIRDC is very contagious and passes easily from dog to dog. If your dog must be in contact with other dogs, ensure they are up to date on Bordetella, Parainfluenza, +/- Canine Influenza vaccinations.

If your dog begins showing symptoms of CIRDC (coughing, nasal/eye discharge, lethargy, decreased appetite, etc.), isolate them from other dogs and contact us for an appointment.

A pet is work.. if you aren’t up to it, don’t break their heart by taking them into your home without a lifetime commitment.
