Isabella
We are officially introducing Isabella! Isabella came to us as an emergency case, having been pulled from a domestic violence home. She was very scared, severely neglected, had really bad matting, and appears to possibly be blind in one eye due to trauma, with the other eye having some cataract and/or partial blindness. It took 4 hrs to carefully get most of the matting out and it’s taken 2 months of patience and building trust to get to this point. Isabella is about 9 yrs old and is so deserving of a good home/foster home to live out the rest of her life with an abundance of patience and love ❤️
If you would like to help us give Isabella a chance and are willing to continue working with her as a foster parent, fill out an application through the Friends for Life Animal Haven’s website at https://www.fflah.org/forms/form?formid=665. Friends For Life will cover the cost of medical care, food and litter.

Suerte Update… Suerte, nicknamed Little Einstein for his crazy fur, is doing amazing thanks to all of you!! ❤️
Suerte is thriving because he had immediate access to formula, antibiotics, antiseptic wash, Terramycin, an incubator, blankets, L-lysine vitamins, Nutrical and so much more!! It’s hard to believe that in just over a month Suerte will be ready to go up for adoption. That is because of you, our supporters and sponsors. ❤️
Your prayers and donations go a long way in our rescue and we cannot say thank you enough. If you would like to continue to sponsor Suerte’s care or help us prepare for the next critical/struggling rescue animal, please consider making a donation through our website at https://www.fflah.org/info/donate ❤️
Meet Miracle, Suerte’s brother. Miracle was found 2 days after Suerte came to us, laying next to his deceased sibling and covered in maggots. He was rushed to us last Tuesday evening and his fight to live was obvious right off the bat. We spent several hours cleaning out a 1.5”x1” pocket of maggots that had separated the skin on his head and neck from the muscle. The maggots had also filled his right ear and began to carve their way through soft tissue in that area. Once the maggots had been cleaned out we were able to assess the degree of damage we knew that his biggest obstacle was not the visible damage the maggots did, but the infection being caused by their secretion. We flushed the wounds regularly with antiseptic wash, added Viralys oral powder to his formula, slipped in Tomlyn Nutritional Supplement gel on his gums, and Terramycin for his eyes. He was gaining traction but took a little slump on Thursday so we added an antibiotic shot to help. He began to bounce back by Thursday evening but took another slump on Sunday so we added Clavamox to the mix. This kitten is a fighter and we will continue to fight for him until/IF he says it’s time to let go.
Suerte is thriving and snuggling up with his brother Miracle, often keeping one paw draped over him as to keep him warm and say “you’ve got this”. Their breaths are often synched as they overcome such a horrific beginning together.
You are the reason that Suerte, Miracle and others like them that come in to rescues, have a fighting chance. You and your donations are the first step in their care and we couldn’t do it without you.
We are at a critical point in rescue though where funding and lack of volunteers/fosters limit the number of animals we can help. We need your help to get the word out as we are always in need of monetary donations, volunteers and fosters. If you could please take a moment to share Miracle and Suerte’s stories and to share our link for donations htt
Meet Rosie! Rosie came to us earlier this week covered in fleas and ear mites. It took 2 Dawn baths, 2 doses of Capstar, Revolution, dewormer and 2x daily ear mite solution, but she is finally on the upswing and feeling so much better. After loosing much of her fur on her back and tail because the fleas were so bad, she is already growing fur back and her coat is filling in and feeling silky soft. She will get her shots and be spayed before going up for adoption and we can’t wait for her to find her furever home 😻
Penelope is now up for adoption in the Reynoldsburg PetSmart Adoption Center!!! Who is ready to add this 3 yr old 3.5 legged sweetheart to their home?!
