Update from the spa. A little over a week ago our large maple fell on our house. Thankfully no one was injured and the house only sustained roof and siding damage. As expected everything is a bit of a mess but luckily I have been able to continue to work from my shop, which was unharmed. Please bare with me over the next several weeks as I work on catching up, working with contractors and adjusters, and trying to stay on time for appointments. Once I have a date for the new roof I will need to move some more appointments around. As always I will continue to keep everyone in the loop. Much love and we will get through this!

New Year’s week cuties 🥰 reminder to send your availability to me for the year. I’m wrapping up on the yearly schedule and will have limited availability once it’s full for haircuts 🐶 Bath and nail trim appointments can be scheduled as needed throughout the year.

I wanted to share some things that need to be addressed now and moving forward into the new year. I know we are all busy and life gets crazy sometimes. Unfortunately I have had an increase in the number of last minute cancellations lately. Over $500 in lost income this month alone. Please understand that I can’t always fill these spots, and therefore I am losing income. I have the most amazing clients ever, but there is always the habitual few.

Moving forward into the new year I will require all full grooming clients (haircuts) be maintained on no longer than a 8/10 week max basis. If this cannot be done an additional fee will be added for the extra time it takes. If I have cancellations under 24 hours or no shows you’ll be asked to pay a fee before rescheduling. Cancellation fees are half the groom cost, no shows are full cost.

Books are full for the year for full haircuts with a small number of bath spots available. I can’t wait to spend the holidays with my favorite furry friends. Much love and always thankful for your support!

Happy Wednesday everyone. Quick reminder as it seems to have gotten a bit out of control and frequent. Payment for all services is due at the time of check out. I’m busy enough keeping up with everything I do, I honestly don’t have the extra time to remember to reach out. My business is no different than any other business and it deserves to be treated that way.

Also as always prompt pickup and drop off is preferred so that we can keep the one on one feel of Zen Jen’s. Unless arranged ahead of time, all pups must be picked up within an hour of being ready to go. There is a daycare fee per hour assessed if not. I’m looking forward to another great summer with some of the best clients.

Anyone ever wonder what happens between pups 🐶 shenanigans of course! This is my big lug Cecil, him and Leo are best buddies!

When your new client sits right beside you and critiques your work, what do you do?! Convince them with love. Welcome Chico what an awesome guy 💜 So very sweet 🐱

I bought a set of slings to help me and the dogs I groom and I love them! Ellie usually struggles and bites and has to be muzzled for nails. Not anymore she was so relaxed. Go Ellie!!

To say we don’t have fun after a first groom is an understatement. It’s a big deal and you have to celebrate 🐶 Harley a 6 month old bernadoodle got to have play time with my daughter. She has a blast with the puppies!

16 year old Cuddles has the right idea 💜 lay down and enjoy her bath and blow out. Whatever makes her comfortable!

This is sweet Gus’s full groom on video. Can you believe this sweet boy is still a puppy?! I love him!

Can’t say enough about how important it is to start puppies off early. The first grooms set the stage for their lifetime of grooming. This is Griffi she’s 14 weeks old and had her puppy introduction today. She did wonderful! Going slow and not forcing anything is crucial.
