We offer cutting horse training, lessons, and clinics at a beautiful state-of-the-art facility in Throckmorton, Texas. The ranch has multiple outdoor cutting pens, an enclosed cutting pen, covered breaking pen, plenty of turnout, plus extensive cattle facilities. Scott's lessons include individual, specialized attention in a small group setting and generally run 90 minutes or more, depending on yo

ur schedule and availability. We always have cattle on hand, plus several mechanical cows / flags set up throughout the ranch. Scott is also available for offsite clinics both in Texas and around the country. Scott is an 'AAA' NCHA judge and trains limited age event and weekend cutting horses and coaches riders of all levels. Scott is an active NCHA competitor and trainer with over $180,000 in Equi-Stat earnings, a many-time aged event finalist and champion, multiple-time NCHA Great Lakes Circuit Champion, and APHA Congress Champion. They grow up so fast! Yes, it's time to send off those good cutting and cow horse prospects. The first weeks and months are critical to the early development of these athletes. You want to send them to a program with skilled, experienced trainers, caring and conscientious staff, plenty of space for arena, pasture, and trail riding, and LOTS of cattle.

We've got all that, plus year-round all-weather riding, and good country to do it in. We have openings and would love to help get your program off to a great start for 2025!

🔥 The Cat Whisperer 🔥

The 2025 NCHA show season starts in just a couple of weeks or so - who is looking for a solid and seasoned ride? This horse fits the bill - he's an NCHA money-earner, is tuned and ready to show!

Louie is a 2020 AQHA sorrel stallion by two-time World Champion Louis the Cat and out of a daughter of Meradas Money Talks. He is nice for anyone to ride, has a huge stop and reads cattle very well. He is very flashy in the show pen and turns heads when he's working.

He would also be a standout ranch versatility / SHTX horse. Out of the arena he loves to trail ride, gather cattle, and you can swing a rope off of him. He is very quiet in the barn, hasn't yet bred mares, and is Herda n/n.

If you are planning to haul for the NCHA Circuit Finals this coming season, here's your guy!

Nonameonthebullitt is an NCHA money-earner with very limited showing, is fully novice eligible! He is 15hh with good bone and feet, requires no maintenance, and is tuned and ready to show. He is very smooth and easy for anyone to ride.

He is a + loper and would be an outstanding high-end ranch versatility / SHTX horse. Outside of the arena, he is a trustworthy trail horse, doesn't mind water and mud, and will drag logs, let you rope off of him, or gather cattle all day.

He is a 2020 AQHA red roan gelding by The Smoothest (Smooth As A Cat x Boonsmal Doctress) and out of Calzona Dancer, an Equistat Top 25 dual earner for the previous decade in cutting and cow horse. She also has her ROM in both.

He's smooth and comfortable for anyone to ride, low maintenance and an easy keeper - a true gentleman.
